Stallone & Richards Land Bollywood Bananas

Sylvester Stallone and former Bond girl Denise Richards have been handed Golden Kela Awards for terrible performances in India.
The two Hollywood stars 'won' the Have You Gone Crazy Award for roles in Bollywood romantic comedy Kambakkht Ishq (Unfortunate Love).
They beat nominated home grown stars like Shah Rukh Khan, Akshay Kumar, Priyanka Chopra and Nikhil Advani to land the dishonour, which was announced at a gala in New Delhi on Friday night.
Kambakkht Ishq was also named Worst Film.
Neither Stallone nor Richards were present at the gala - a fact that troubled leading Indian film experts.
Indo-American Leadership Confederation chairman Rajan Zed tells WENN, "Stallone and Richards should have attended the gala and showed courage, thus making it a learning experience. Being humble is highly honourable."
Meanwhile, Chandni Chowk to China was the event's big 'winner' claiming three Golden Kela Awards, including the Insensitivity Award.
The awards - Bollywood's version of the Golden Raspberry Awards - were launched in 2008.

Corey Feldman will not be among mourners attending the funeral of his best friend and movie co-star Corey Haim, who died of a suspected drug overdose in Los Angeles last week.
The Lost Boys star was found unconscious at his mother's home in Los Angeles in the early hours of Wednesday morning and was pronounced dead upon arrival at St Joseph's hospital in Burbank, California.
Childhood pal Feldman has revealed he woke up to the sad news and spent the morning sobbing about the tragedy, but, despite his grief, the Goonies actor has announced he will stay away from the star's burial service in Toronto, Canada on Tuesday - out of respect for Haim's family.
Feldman explains, "In the days following my best friend Corey Haim's death, I have spent much time with his mother Judy, who has always been like a mother to me. I would love nothing more than to be by her side at Corey's funeral, however, due to their strong religious beliefs and need for privacy, the family has decided to make Corey's funeral on Tuesday a small private affair."
Reports suggest that both a memorabilia auction house and the city of Toronto will be paying for the funeral. »

Charlie Sheen will stand trial in July after pleading not guilty to three domestic violence charges stemming from an alleged altercation with his wife Brooke Mueller on Christmas Day.

Sheen, who has a history of drug abuse, was charged with third-degree assault, menacing, and criminal mischief.
He appeared in court in Colorado on Monday to answer the accusations, where he entered a not guilty plea.
The case will go to trial on 21 July.
Both Sheen and Mueller, who married in 2008 and have twin sons together, have undergone treatment at various recovery facilities following the incident.

Actress Kim Cattrall is refusing to undergo cosmetic surgery, because she's scared her face will become unrecognisable if she goes under the knife.
The Sex and The City star has so far shunned medical treatment to alter her looks, and although she's not ruled out procedures in the future, Cattrall is wary about drastically changing her image.
She says, "I don't think 'not for me', I just don't know yet. I think in some cases men and women are dipping - deep! But I don't think I'm ready for it.
"I think the greatest fear is that you look in the mirror and you don't see you. I like to look in the mirror and think I look good. I try and take care of myself, but I don't ever want to get to the point where I don't see myself, that would be really scary." »
Viola Davis has taken aim at young Hollywood stars seduced by fame and glamour, insisting they don't take their acting career seriously.
The Tony Award winner, 44, is tired of troubled actors gloating about their success, when icons such as her Doubt co-star Meryl Streep remain so humble.
She tells the New York Post, "Young actors see an overnight success and they want it fast, quick. Before they ever develop a work ethic they think they're Meryl Streep. It's no longer an art, it's an entertainment... It's putting in the hours of work."
And she insists actors with a big ego have no place in Hollywood: "Today, they have no level of performance. No kind of artistic aesthetic. One major award in one part and they're strutting around. They did one part well and they think they don't have to study." »

Bosses at a leading U.S. weightloss company have their sights set on Precious star Gabourey Sidibe for an upcoming campaign.
They want the obese star to take her health more seriously - and use their products to lose weight.
AcaiSupply.com officials are offering the actress a one-year supply of products, in return for an endorsement - provided she loses weight.
In a letter written to Sidibe and obtained by TMZ.com, the company's CEO writes, "The only way you can reach your goal of someday winning that Oscar is by being active, fit, and most of all, healthy!"
The offer comes just days after Sidibe, who boasted about scoffing fast food on the Oscars red carpet, was targeted by satellite shock jock Howard Stern on his daily radio show.
Stern urged the actress to seek help for obesity, calling her, "The most enormous, fat black chick I've ever seen."
His mean comments have sparked debate in America, with the actress' mother and Jessica Simpson both going public to blast Stern for his remarks. »

Catherine Zeta-Jones is plotting her first onscreen role with husband Michael Douglas - in a remake of his 1989 black comedy War Of The Roses.
The Chicago beauty admits she "definitely" wants to star alongside the Wall Street actor on the big screen - even though she feels "voyeuristic" watching real-life couples, like former spouses Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman, play lovers on film.
But Zeta-Jones, who's been married to Douglas since 2000, insists the pair would make a perfect match for the thriller, about a couple in a vicious divorce battle.
She says, "Sometimes I find it (couples starring together in films) really strange. I know that Nicole and Tom did it a few times... But I would like to remake War of the Roses with my husband, where we try to kill each other." »

Toronto Officials Won't Pay For Haim's Funeral
7 hours ago
City officials in Toronto, Canada have dismissed reports taxpayers will pick up the funeral costs for tragic actor Corey Haim, despite allegations from his grieving mother.
The Lost Boys star died of a suspected drug overdose in Los Angeles last week and his cancer-stricken mother, Judy Haim, has been struggling to gather enough cash to fly the actor's body to his native Canada.
Family members began selling Haim's possessions on internet auction site eBay.com as a way for fans to donate to funeral costs and his mum was even offered a $20,000 (£13,300) cheque advance from executives at Startifacts, the company helping to shift the memorabilia.
But the matriarch recently claimed Startifacts bosses had yet to provide her with the funds, and she had instead accepted an offer from Toronto officials to pay for burial expenses.
However, a city spokesman is baffled by Judy's comments - because officials have not been approached to provide funeral funds.
Communications director Kevin Sack says: "The City of Toronto confirms no involvement in funeral costs for Mr. Haim. The City of Toronto has never received an application for assistance with the funeral costs for Mr. Haim."
Haim is expected to be buried in Toronto on Tuesday. »

Gere's Marriage To Crawford 'Wasn't Perfect'
Richard Gere has opened up about his marriage to Cindy Crawford - blaming their split on his lack of interest in starting a family.
The Pretty Woman star wed the supermodel in 1991, but the pair split just three years later and divorced in 1995.
And Gere, who has a nine-year-old son with current wife Carey Lowell, is adamant their marriage failed because he wasn't ready to have children with the beauty.
He says, "I married her because I didn't want to lose her. But we didn't have the perfect marriage - it wasn't happening as well as either of us wanted.
"Marriage is walking the path in the same direction. I wasn't sure I'd adjust to looking after my own child." »
British actor James Nesbitt has opened up about his mother's battle with Alzheimer's disease - he was left heartbroken when the 77 year old recently failed to recognise him.
The Cold Feet star, who hails from Northern Ireland, returned to his homeland after a stint filming abroad and when he visited his mum on Mother's Day he was shocked to see a marked deterioration in her condition, a form of incurable, degenerative dementia.
He says, "I hadn't seen her since Christmas as I've been filming a lot so for the first time in quite a long time I had not been able to get over. I noticed that when you spend a bit of time away the deterioration is, in a sense, more marked. She wasn't really aware of me when I visited her but by the end she knew me.
"On my last visit she did not know me but she knew dad. You just have to deal with it and we have responded as a family."
And Nesbitt admits that once he finishes his current acting job in Belgrade, Serbia he will be spending a lot more time in Northern Ireland with his mother.
He adds, "I hadn't been able to see her as often as I would have liked because my filming schedules have been so crazy and I was trying to get home to see my kids.
"When I finish the job in Belgrade I will come and spend a lot of time at home and I hope she will be able to remember better when she spends more time with me." »

Daniel Craig and Grey's Anatomy actor Kevin McKidd were both rumoured to be in the running for the lead in the upcoming superhero blockbuster, which will be directed by British thespian Kenneth Branagh.
But the part eventually went to Australian actor Hemsworth - who won the role over his younger sibling Liam.
Liam tells Access Hollywood, "I got flown over (to Los Angeles) to do a screen test for Thor which my older brother ended up getting. We had a fight, a big one. No, I'm happy for him to get something. As long as a Hemsworth is throwing that hammer around, then we're good." »
Bullock's Reluctance Over Blind Side Role
10 hours ago
Sandra Bullock almost turned down her Oscar-winning role in The Blind Side - she was terrified she wouldn't do "justice" to the part.
Bullock received her first Academy Award earlier this month for her portrayal of Leigh Anne Tuohy, a real life mum who adopted Michael Oher and encouraged him to follow his dream of becoming a football star.
But when Bullock was first handed the script, she was reluctant to accept as she didn't think she would be able to play the role convincingly - and it took director John Lee Hancock months to persuade her to change her mind.
She tells British newspaper The Times, "It took John Lee Hancock nearly a year to persuade me to meet Leigh Anne, and even then I wasn't sure I could do her justice. I also don't think I could have done this role even five years ago, but yes, having a family of my own helped clarify the dynamics in my head."
Bullock and her husband Jesse James were handed primary custody of his six-year-old daughter Sunny last year after her mother was jailed on tax evasion charges. »
Schreiber Fires Back At Johansson For 'Loogie' Comment
10 hours ago
Liev Schreiber has fired back at his Broadway co-star Scarlett Johansson, accusing her of exaggerating an embarrassing incident when he accidentally spat in her face on stage.
The pair are currently appearing in Arthur Miller play A View From the Bridge, in which Johansson portrays a 17-year-old girl in 1950s New York with Schreiber as her uncle.
The actress recently appeared on U.S. TV programme Late Show with David Letterman and recalled a scene when Schreiber allegedly disgusted theatregoers when he mistakenly spat an "asteroid-size loogie" on her forehead.
But Schreiber insists the whole incident - which he calls "loogiegate" - has been blown out of proportion by the blonde beauty.
He says, "If I were to produce the loogie, how on earth could I actually produce an 'asteroid size' loogie? I think it's unfair because the reality of what happened is a spittle escaped from the side of my mouth while I was acting in a very dramatic play. What's disturbing to me is that this is now international news. This is an acclaimed Arthur Miller play and all she could think of saying was that I hawked a loogie."
Johansson and Schreiber's limited run is scheduled to end on 4 April. »

The former Friends star has seen her love life played out in the press in recent years - her failed romances with John Mayer, Vince Vaughn and ex-husband Brad Pitt have all hit headlines across the globe.
And Aniston admits she's tired of being a "tabloid face".

Bridges Opens Up About Troubled Childhood In New Book
10 hours ago
Former Diff'rent Strokes star Todd Bridges has opened up about his drug addiction, childhood abuse and off-screen romance with late co-star Dana Plato in a candid new book.
The former child actor, who played beloved U.S. TV character Willis on the hit 1970s and '80s show, has put pen to paper for Killing Willis: From Diff'rent Strokes to the Mean Streets to the Life I Always Wanted.
In the autobiography, Bridges, who claims he was physically abused at the hands of his father, pinpoints the moment that sent him into a downward spiral.
The actor alleges his former male publicist performed oral sex on him when he was 12 years old, and details his horror when his father accused him of lying about the incident.
He writes, "Bringing all that up was tough in a way, but I resolved the issues. It's kind of sad to know that a grown man would take advantage of a child. But what made it more tough was that your father took the guy's side. That kind of broke me at 12 years old. I was really lost after that."
Bridges also claims Plato - who died from a prescription drug overdose in 1999 - introduced him to drugs, which led to his long battle with cocaine and crystal meth addiction.
But the actor - who has been sober for 17 years - insists he has taken responsibility for his actions. He writes in the prologue, "Seriously, I would not change a single thing about my life."
Explaining why he's writing the book, he adds, "I really wanted to tell what really happened... They always want to make me blame Hollywood. That's just not the truth. You know how they say Hollywood throws childhood stars away? That wasn't true in my case." »

Polanski's Wife: 'Sex Abuse Case Will Be Over Soon'

Roman Polanski's wife is confident the embattled director's legal troubles will be over "pretty soon", insisting they have made it through the worst of her husband's 32-year-old sexual abuse case.
French actress/singer Emmanuelle Seigner, 43, has stood by her husband as he fights extradition to the U.S. relating to a 1977 charge of unlawful sex with a 13-year-old girl.
Polanski, 76, pleaded guilty to the accusation but fled America on the eve of sentencing. Swiss police detained the Chinatown moviemaker at a film festival last September and he has since been placed under house arrest at his ski chalet in Gstaad, Switzerland.
In a rare TV interview in Poland, Seigner, who recently revealed she and her children, Elvis and Morgane, are not living with Polanski, admits their life is "good" but "not ideal".
But she is sure the case will be "solved and over pretty soon", adding, "The toughest moments are behind us."

Romanced blossomed for Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth on the set of their movie The Last Song because they were stuck in a remote town for weeks on end with only each other for company.
The pair met when they relocated to Tybee Island, Georgia last year to film the teen drama, and after months of speculation about their relationship, Cyrus finally confirmed they are dating in a post-Oscars interview.
Hemsworth reveals he fell for the Hannah Montana star while they were making the movie, because they spent so much time on their own together.

Sidibe's Mother Slams Stern Over 'Fat' Jibes
14 hours ago
Gabourey Sidibe's mother has told Howard Stern to "get a life" after the shock jock made a series of unflattering comments about the plus-size actress' weight.
Stern caused controversy last week (beg08Mar10) after criticising the Precious star on his Sirius radio show, urging the 26 year old to seek help because "obesity" is a life-threatening condition.
He also claimed she will find it difficult to land any more roles in Hollywood because of her portly frame - and Sidibe's mum, Alice Tan Ridley, is fuming over the DJ's unkind comments.
She tells U.S. TV show Inside Edition, "Get a life. He can see, you can see, I can see Gabby is a big girl. She's a big woman, so what's wrong with that? She's not like everyone else in the world. I don't see him giving jobs out to anybody, so why should we care what he says? He might not hire her, but someone else will!"
Whoopi Goldberg has also blasted Stern for taking aim at the Oscar-nominated star - insisting Sidibe's size shouldn't overshadow her acting skills.
She told viewers of U.S. TV show The View, "Before you just dismiss her because of her size, take a look at her talent. She's a wonderful actress and that's all y'all need to know!" »

Former Playboy Playmate Kendra Wilkinson has dismissed suggestions she suffered postpartum depression following the birth of her son - insisting she has never been officially diagnosed with the disorder.
The reality TV star welcomed baby Hank Baskett IV, named after his football star father, in December at a hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana.
The 24 year old recently admitted she struggled to adjust to motherhood as she was pulled into a downward spiral of post-pregnancy sadness.

I had this glamorous life in L.A., and now (in Indianapolis) I didn't. A couple of times, I even said, 'I just have nothing to live for.'"
But Wilkinson has played down her remarks - insisting she didn't suffer the baby blues, she was simply a new mum with worries.
She tells Eonline.com, "I'm not going to sit here and say that I had postpartum depression. I was depressed but it wasn't diagnosed as postpartum depression. But it was depression. I know because I've been through therapy my whole life." »

Fanning Has No Plans To Launch Music Career
14 March 2010 6:32 PM, PDT
Dakota Fanning has rejected offers to launch a singing career after playing The Runaways singer Cherie Currie in a new biopic - insisting she'd faint if she had to perform her own music.
The 16 year old used her own vocals to portray Currie in the upcoming movie, which co-stars Kristen Stewart as singer/guitarist Joan Jett.
But the actress insists fans shouldn't get there hopes up for her music debut, insisting she'll only ever sing on the big screen.
She says, "I never thought of myself as a singer. I've always been kind of self-conscious about singing but I've realised if I'm playing a character I can do it because I kind of get to hide behind her a little bit. But just as Dakota Fanning, I would pass out." »
Hurley's Son Banned From Watching Grant's Films
14 March 2010 6:32 PM, PDT
British model/actress Elizabeth Hurley has banned her young son from watching Hugh Grant's movies - because her ex-boyfriend's films contain too much swearing.
Hurley, who is now married to textile heir Arun Nayar, was in a relationship with Grant for 13 years before they split in 2000.
Grant is now godfather to her seven-year-old son Damian, with ex-boyfriend Steve Bing.
The 43 year old admits she lets Damian watch her own movies, including Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery and Bedazzled - but Grant's films are strictly out of bounds.
She says, "We're always trying to find something that Uncle Hugh has done that he can see, but they're full of swear words. We can't find any (of Grant's films to watch). He can't watch Four Weddings and A Funeral. He can't watch About A Boy. It's quite difficult trying to find stuff for kids. I wouldn't really watch anything that I'm in, but because of Damian, I've seen Austin Powers thousands of times. He knows all of my lines, he can describe all of my costumes, all my hairstyles - he knows which ones are wigs, he knows the lot.
"And Bedazzled he loves. He loves me being the devil. Of course, he knows all those lines as well. I don't know any of them." »
Apatow Won't Direct In 3D
14 March 2010 6:32 PM, PDT
Hollywood filmmaker Judd Apatow refuses to follow the 3D film craze - because his raunchy comedies don't need to be any more graphic.
James Cameron's Oscar-winning 3D epic Avatar has inspired a number of other filmmakers to adopt the increasingly popular cinema technique.
George Lucas is planning to revive his Star Wars films in 3D, while studio bosses at Warner Bros. have confirmed the technology will be implemented in the final installments of the Harry Potter franchise.
And even quirky director Quentin Tarantino has admitted he wants to use the effect in the next Kill Bill sequel.
But Apatow insists 3D would be "scary" for fans of his raunchy films.
He explains, "I don't want everything in 3-D because I don't want to be in the middle of everything. Sometimes I want to be distant from it... I don't think anyone want to see Jason Segel's penis in 3-D."
Segel exposed his genitals in Apatow's 2008 hit comedy Forgetting Sarah Marshall. »
Seyfried's Weight Worries
14 March 2010 6:32 PM, PDT
Amanda Seyfried constantly worries about her weight - because she fears piling on the pounds will cost her movie roles.
The 24 year old admits she's not naturally thin and has to work hard to maintain her super-slender frame.
And she is always aware that if she lets her body get bigger, her career may suffer - because Hollywood bosses want to cast thin actresses in lead roles.
She tells Britain's Glamour magazine, "If I didn't run and work out, there's no way I would be this thin. But I have to stay in shape because I'm an actress. It's f**ked up and it's twisted, but I wouldn't get the roles otherwise. If I'd been a bit bigger, I don't think they would have cast me for Mamma Mia!" »
Cameron Confirms Titanic 3D
14 March 2010 6:32 PM, PDT
Moviemaker James Cameron has confirmed he will bring Titanic back to the big screen in 3D.
The director recently joked about updating the 1997 blockbuster using the same technology, which brought his Oscar-winning epic Avatar to life.
And now he has confirmed he is serious about plans to re-release the historical film in 3D - but the new version won't hit cinemas until 2012, to mark 100 years since the legendary ship sank.
He tells USA Today. "We're targeting spring of 2012 for the release (of a 3D version of Titanic), which is the 100 year anniversary of the sailing of the ship."
Cameron also revealed he will be putting Avatar back into movie theatres by releasing a director's cut later this year.
He adds, "The wildcard is that we might be re-releasing the movie this fall. It's kind of gotten stomped out (in theatres since the release) of Alice in Wonderland. The word we're getting back from exhibitors is we probably left a couple of hundred million dollars on the table as a result. The question is the appetite still going to be there after the summer glut of movies. We're going to assess that. We're talking about maybe adding in additional footage and doing something creative."
Avatar made movie history this year by overtaking Titanic as the best-selling international movie release of all time. »
Haim's Funeral Paid For By City Of Toronto
14 March 2010 6:32 PM, PDT
Funeral costs for tragic actor Corey Haim will be paid for by the authorities in charge of his native Toronto, Canada, according to the late star's grieving mother.
The Lost Boys star died of a suspected drug overdose in Los Angeles on Wednesday.
His family members revealed they were struggling to gather enough money to fly his body home and began selling the late actor's possessions on internet auction site eBay.com as a way for fans to donate to funeral costs.
Executives at Startifacts, the company helping to sell Haim's belongings online, subsequently offered to hand the actor's cancer-stricken mother, Judy Haim, a $20,000 (£13,300) cheque ahead of the memorial - instead of making her wait for all of the money to come through once the online auctions finish.
However, the matriarch tells U.S. TV news programme Access Hollywood Startifacts bosses have not yet provided the funds, and she has accepted an offer from Toronto officials to pay for burial expenses.
Haim will be buried in Toronto, Canada on Tuesday. »
