Grace Doped Up At Charity Party

Actor Topher Grace had his first stoned experience at a Hollywood party when he mistook a 'special' breath strip for a regular breath freshener.

The Spider-Man 3 villain was a TV star at the time in hippy sitcom That 70s Show, but he'd never smoked pot or experienced a high.

That all changed when he thought a party guest was suggesting he should freshen up.

He recalls, "It was this huge charity event... and you don't wanna mess up because everyone in Hollywood is there.

"This girl's next to me and she's offering me something and I said, 'What?' She said, 'It's like a breath strip.' And I said, 'Oh, I need a breath strip?' And she said, 'Sure,' so I took it from her.

"I just popped it in... and luckily one of my best friends was at the table... and I said, 'Just real quick, is there lava coming out the back of my head?' Then, my friend said, 'Are you Ok?' and I said, 'I think I'm fine, but I can touch colours... should I get naked?'

"My friend came back and he had (co-star) Ashton Kutcher with him... and later he called me and said that I just said one thing to him... I just said, 'I love you, you're my brother'." »

Huppert's Streetcar Slated By French Theatre Critics

French actress Isabelle Huppert's avant-garde version of Tennessee Williams' A Streetcar Named Desire has been panned in Paris.

Huppert is receiving some of the worst reviews of her career in director Krzysztof Warlikowski's experimental production of the drama, called Un Tramway.

The play, at the Theatre de l'Odeon, includes video projection and techno music - but has been hammered by critics, who have called the production "a vain exercise in style".

A review in Le Monde newspaper reads, "(It's like watching) puppets act out, not human beings live.... One leaves this Streetcar saying: what was the point?"

And the Agence France Presse has dubbed the production "A Streetcar named disappointment."

The Afp critic reports the estate of Tennessee Williams did not authorise the use of the play's full title for this production, because the playwright's family members didn't approve of the liberal nature of the adaptation. »

While gyrating in front of the new American Idol judge, he shouted, "I was a stripper. Look, I'm not proud of it, but I'm not ashamed of it."

But the hunk stopped before the show became X-rated, prompting DeGeneres to add, "I wish I had a dollar. If only I had cash I would have kept you going."

Tatum then quipped, "Don't worry; that one was on the house."

She sheltered under an umbrella as she posed for snappers outside the event - but still got a soaking when Clooney got too close.

Sidibe says, "It's raining at the Golden Globes, that's where I met him (Clooney). I'm finished taking my press photos and I'm completely wet and it's all because of George Clooney." »

The former movie star will take part in the ceremonial carrying of the Olympic flame ahead of the games' opening ceremony in Vancouver on Friday.

But the decision to include Schwarzenegger has infuriated some critics, who are unhappy with the star's past admission to using drugs while he was a bodybuilding champion - a practice which is banned in the Olympics.

But John Furlong, chief executive of Olympics organising committee, is adamant Schwarzenegger deserves his place in the event.

Furlong says, "He has taken an extraordinary position on the environment and has developed a great relationship with the province of British Columbia. He is a powerful spokesman and is very popular here. He has been here many times and he helps focus attention on what we are doing." »

And Jolie admits she was happy just to take in orphaned children, until Pitt convinced her to become a mum herself.

"He taught me to be more patient and to enjoy everything that exists in the world.” »

He tells radio station 104.3 MYfm, "You know what? I would love to do that (return), actually. I would.

"I had so much fun on those shows for those three years and I still keep in touch with a lot of the people over there. They never officially found Leo's body, so he could legitimately be alive." »

And Uchitel impressed bosses so much during an appearance on tabloid news show Extra on Tuesday night, they snapped her up as a new correspondent.

She will report for the show on "nightlife hotspots", according to New York Post gossip column Page Six, but has no intention of talking about her alleged affair with Woods.

Jacobs To Snub Stars At Future Fashion Shows

American fashion designer Marc Jacobs has stopped inviting stars to sit in the front row at his runway shows - because they distract the audience.

Superstars such as Madonna, Eva Mendes and the Olsen twins are regulars at the designer's annual shows, but Jacobs has vowed to turn his back on the world of celebrities.

And the style guru admits he made his decision after last year's exhibition - when the Material Girl demanded a seat without being invited.

He tells, "I'm not into the celebrity thing... like we used to. That's boring. We're not going to have celebrities. Last season, we had two celebrities... one because Lady Gaga was doing our party, and she didn't even make it to her seat because we started the show before she got there.

"And one was Madonna. She came backstage, and I was like, 'What do you do with her now?' Because it's not like she was invited. She just called and said she was coming, and we weren't holding the show for her. She just came, and that was it. There are certain things I can't control.

"We used to have all the celebrities and people there, and I think that at that moment in time, that's what people loved. It generated so much press and at a certain point it was like, 'Did anybody actually watch the show?'" »

Mexico's South Park Episode Scrapped

MTV bosses have avoided a massive fine from Mexican authorities by scrapping the broadcast of a controversial episode of hit U.S. series South Park.

The animated installment, which pokes fun at Mexico's President, Felipe Calderon, was due to air in Spanish on Monday night on MTV's Latin American channel.

But the broadcast was cancelled at the last minute, with TV chiefs claiming they failed to apply for a special permit needed to feature an image of the Mexican flag, which appears in a scene with the president.

Mexican law protects the use of the country's national emblem, with heavy fines for those who break the rules.

A spokesman for MTV Mexico, Erick Zermeno, tells BBC News, "We decided not to alter the image because the reaction would have been worse."

He also revealed the episode will be shown in its entirety once MTV bosses receive the required permit.

In 2007, Mexican pop star Paulina Rubio was fined for appearing naked on the cover of a Spanish magazine draped in the flag. »

Trump Sued By Banned Golfer

Donald Trump is facing a lawsuit from a Greek shipping heir who was kicked off the tycoon's Florida golf course over allegations of bad behaviour.

Harry Theodoracopulos's membership of the Trump International Golf Course in West Palm Beach was suspended last April via a letter from The Apprentice star alleging he had upset staff and fellow members.

Trump wrote in the letter, "You have been abusing numerous caddies, other members and representatives of the club in general," adding that there had been "intolerable behaviour toward guests and members on the driving range."

Theodoracopulos, who paid $200,000 (£125,000) for his membership, claims he was not notified of the suspension and did not have an opportunity to defend himself to the club's board, and is taking legal action.

But Trump has no intention of letting him tee-off on his course again, telling New York gossip column Page Six, "We don't want him back. He was very abusive." »

Eastwood Has No Regrets Over Bond Snub

Clint Eastwood has no regrets about turning down the role of James Bond, because he was convinced 007 should be played by a British actor.

The California-born star was approached by Bond bosses to play the superspy when Sean Connery quit the franchise, but he turned the role down.

And Eastwood insists he made the right decision - because he didn't want to see the iconic character portrayed by an American.

He says, "I thought James Bond should be British. I am of British descent but by that same token, I thought that it should be more of the culture there and also, it was not my thing."

Bond has been played by British stars including Connery and Roger Moore, as well as Timothy Dalton and Daniel Craig - with the only exceptions being Australian George Lazenby and Irish actor Pierce Brosnan. »

Aussie Soap Star Defends Show

Australian actor Lincoln Lewis has come to the defence of scandal-ridden soap opera Home And Away, dismissing rumours the young cast is plagued by drug problems.

The popular show has been mired in controversy in recent months following a string of highly publicised scandals involving its stars.

Actress Jodi Gordon, 24, was reported missing by friends after a night out in Sydney last summer, and was later found by police at the home of a suspected drug dealer. The star admitted "cocaine had been consumed" when she was questioned by cops.

Her co-star Todd Lasance was caught up in a police raid at a Sydney nightclub during the show's Christmas party in December. He was found in possession of cocaine and pleaded guilty to a drug possession charge last month.

And Lewis also found himself in trouble when he was embroiled in a sex scandal - admitting he filmed an intimate encounter with an unnamed Australian television star and showed the footage to his fellow cast members and crew.

But the 22 year old, who is set to leave the TV series this year, insists rumours of persistent problems onset are just not true.

He says, "It's absolutely nothing like that. It's unbelievable how c**p that is."

Lewis credits bosses on the show for helping him through his crisis, adding: "I had the publicity team call several times a day to make sure I was all right. I had Channel 7's support. Friends and family - always there. And it was because of them that I was able to handle it. I have learnt my lesson in terms of waking up. You learn from your mistakes, that's just part of growing up." »

Police Called To Tequila's Home Over Stalker Claims

Reality TV star Tila Tequila called police to her Los Angeles home on Tuesday over allegations a "stalker" was prowling the property.

Officers were sent to the internet sensation's San Fernando Valley house following 911 calls in which Tequila claimed a man had been watching her for two weeks.

A search of the area showed no trace of the alleged stalker and officers left the scene soon after.

But Tequila insists the man tried to break into her home, telling, "There's been a psycho stalker and he's getting closer to my door and tried to get in. He's been sitting in the rain for days trying to say hi to me!

"He put his eye up to my door and was trying to peek in and he was jiggling the door."

Last April, the star claimed an obsessed fan into her house and sent a message via her blog telling fans she was dead.

The post read, "I just broke into her house, killed her and her dog. Logged onto Twitter to tell you guys. She was signed on already. Tila Tequila is dead." No charges were ever brought in relation to the alleged incident. »

Lohan And Ronson Dismiss Abuse Rumours

Lindsay Lohan and Samantha Ronson have taken to the internet to dispel rumours their relationship was marred by abuse, with the DJ threatening "legal action" over the false reports.

The couple's tumultuous on/off romance came to an end last year, but the pair hit headlines again last week (beg01Feb10) after they were rumoured to have engaged in a public bust-up at a Hollywood night club.

Reports published on Radar Online subsequently suggested the couple's former relationship had been marred by domestic violence.

Blunt: 'There's No Rivalry With Adams'

Emily Blunt counts Amy Adams as her biggest supporter - because her Sunshine Cleaning co-star often recommends the Brit at her own auditions.

The Devil Wears Prada star admits she frequently competes with Adams for the same film roles - but the redhead often passes up opportunities if she feels Blunt is a better match.

She tells Ok! magazine, "I completely understand when one of them (other actresses) gets a role over me, or vice versa. Amy Adams and I are really good friends, and I think her manager said to her one day, 'You have to stop going into your meetings promoting Emily Blunt!' She was like, 'I know, but I think Emily would be better for (this part)!'

"So I don't really have much rivalry, or if there is any, I don't really know anything about it. Because, you know, I'm not around girls like that. The friends I have in the business, I'm always really happy for them. I think we're always happy for each other. That sounds crap, but it's true." »

Eggert Gained Weight After Dad's Death

Ex-baywatch babe Nicole Eggert piled on the pounds after falling into a deep depression following her father's death and an allegedly abusive relationship with DJ Lethal.

The blonde beauty is currently appearing on U.S. reality show Celebrity Fit Club in a bid to shed the weight she put on after losing her dad Ralph to cancer, according to her mother Georgina.

Georgina tells, "When her father died it took a lot out of her. It's been two years, but she was really bummed out and stressed about her dad. She spent a lot of time in bed.

"On anybody else the weight gain wouldn't have been as noticeable. She wasn't really that heavy, but she was on Baywatch and everyone expected her to still be that. She's not 18 anymore."

And Eggert's mum admits the actress' tumultuous relationship with House of Pain star DJ Lethal, real name Leor Dimant, also left her feeling low.

Georgina adds, "He was not nice to her. I wish she would find someone. It's always a mother's wish for their daughter to find someone, but she's happy. I think now she just wants to be able to live and feed her daughter, and she's doing a great job."

In 2008, Eggert filed papers alleging Dimant subjected her to repeated physical violence during their relationship. »

Carradine Addresses Photo Error

Keith Carradine has acted swiftly to clarify reports of his ex-wife Sandra's perjury charges - after a photo of his current spouse Hayley was published with the story.

On Monday, Sandra Carradine, who divorced Keith in 1999, pleaded guilty to perjury after trying to cover up incarcerated former Hollywood private detective Anthony Pellicano's wiretapping methods.

When news of Sandra's sentencing began to circulate, a photograph of The Duellists star posing with his current actress partner Hayley DuMond was used - and now Carradine is speaking out to address the error.

A statement released by Carradine reads: "In conjunction with the news of the sentencing of my ex-wife, Sandra Will Carradine, for felony perjury in connection with the Anthony Pellicano wiretapping case, (a) photograph of me and my wife, actress Hayley DuMond, has been circulated with no identifying caption.

"This has resulted in the misimpression that it is a photo of me and my ex-wife. It is, in fact, a picture of me and Hayley DuMond, my fiancee since 1997 and my wife since November 18, 2006."

Sandra Carradine was sentenced to 400 hours of community service, two years of probation and a $10,000 (£6,250) fine after confessing to paying Pellicano to investigate her ex-husband during a child custody dispute in 2001.

She also admitted lying under oath to a federal grand jury in 2004 to conceal Pellicano's wiretapping of her ex's phone calls. »

Hefner's Divorce Finalised In March

Hugh Hefner will officially become a bachelor next month when his divorce from Kimberly Conrad is made official.

The Playboy boss filed legal papers in September to put an end to his marriage with former Playboy Playmate Conrad - 11 years after the couple split in 1998.

Legal documents filed in Los Angeles indicate the union will be legally dissolved on 11 March, according to

Relations between Hefner and his ex, who married in 1989, became strained after the media mogul sold the house next door to his famous Playboy Mansion in Beverly Hills - where his two sons with Conrad, Marston and Cooper, had been living.

Conrad then sued the ageing lothario in August, claiming he failed to honour their pre-nuptial agreement and allegedly owes her more than $5 million (£3.3 million). »

Michael Lohan: 'I'm Not A Deadbeat Dad'

Michael Lohan blasted his "deadbeat dad" reputation after appearing in court on Tuesday in a child support battle with his ex-wife Dina.

Actress Lindsay Lohan's parents have been feuding ever since Dina took Michael to court last year, accusing him of failing to pay $40,000 (£25,000) in child support.

The former husband and wife are parents to the 23-year-old actress, as well as her younger siblings Michael Jr., Aliana and Dakota.

But the born-again Christian insists he has settled his differences with his former spouse and has paid up what he owed her.

He tells, "The numbers are wrong and so are the facts. Dina will even state that I am not deadbeat. As Dina and our attorneys will confirm, Dina and I mediated the support issue and resolved it on our own. After a dispute over what was paid through the 'system' and what was paid otherwise, I agree that money is owed and we settled. Dina even stated that I am a good father and I did provide my children with what they needed outside the 'system'. We left on good terms. I know that only good things will follow."

And the Lohan patriarch claims he has learned his lesson not to handle private matters in the public eye, adding, "I am sorry it came to this, but to be honest, I was a little arrogant about this in the beginning because of the situation with Lindsay. I regret it and will never do it to Dina or my children again.

"As far back as the beginning of our divorce, I wanted to sit face to face and mediate things. When we did, it was all resolved amicably." »

Kerrigan Family: 'Homicide Ruling Is Inaccurate'

Nancy Kerrigan's family has lashed out at authorities who ruled the death of the athlete's father a homicide, insisting the finding was "premature and inaccurate".

Massachusetts officials announced on Tuesday Daniel Kerrigan died from cardiac dysrhythmia after suffering a neck injury during an altercation with his son, Mark.

The 70 year old was found unconscious in the kitchen of the family's home on 24 January, while his son Mark was arrested on suspicion of assault and battery over the incident.

According to the Kerrigans' attorney Tracy Miner, the figure skater's family was disappointed the Medical Examiner made a public confirmation.

Miner says, "The Kerrigan family is extremely disappointed that the medical examiner would release a cause of death without having all of the relevant facts. We believe this finding to be premature and inaccurate."

Miner insists the Kerrigans aren't holding Mark responsible for Daniel's death, adding, "The Kerrigan family does not blame anyone for the unfortunate death of Dan Kerrigan, who had a pre-existing heart condition."

The investigation continues. »

Willis Fears Toilet Trips Are Giving Him A Bad Reputation

9 February 2010 5:31 PM, PST

Movie star Bruce Willis fears he has developed a reputation as a cocaine user - because he's always dashing to toilets to pee.

The Die Hard star claims his age and the amount of water he drinks make frequent restroom trips necessary when he's out socially - and he worries that people are getting the wrong impression.

He tells Men's Journal magazine, "I drink far more water than I drink alcohol anymore. Whenever I'm in the company of someone who used to do this drug that makes you run off to the bathroom to do it, I'm reminded of how often I get up to pee now.

"I go, 'Oh, my God, I wonder if somebody thinks I'm doing blow in there'." »
