Oscar 2010Oscars To Be Personalised At The Governor's Ball
4 hours ago

Oscar winners won't have to wait to get their awards personalised this year - nameplates will be added while they dine after the Academy Awards.

In previous years, Oscar winners had to send their awards to the Academy in the weeks following the ceremony, so engraved nameplates could be affixed to the statuettes.

But, next month, the Oscars will be personalised at the post-ceremony Governors Ball, which will be take place at the Grand Ballroom at the Hollywood & Highland Center in Los Angeles.

Academy Award winners will be invited to enter a specially designed area, where Academy technicians will affix the personalised nameplates to each Oscar.

In preparation for the night, the Academy will create 197 nameplates, one for each nominee in every category. The engraving will include the nominee’s name, category, film title and year. After the winners have been announced, the unused nameplates will be recycled. »

Renner's Make-up Plan

The Hurt Locker star Jeremy Renner had an unexpected back-up career planned before he became a successful actor - he was a trained make-up artist.

The star received his first Oscar nomination earlier this month for his role in Kathryn Bigelow's war film.

But the 39 year old can still recall playing with make-up pallets and mascara as a struggling actor - before his role as a U.S. Army soldier skyrocketed him to international fame.

He explains, "Instead of waiting tables I got to put make-up on gals, so that was kind of nice.

"I didn't know how to do make-up at the time. I convinced the ladies at the counter - I said, 'Why is it that you guys are wearing makeup? Maybe you want a guy's opinion (on how) to put on your make-up.'" »

Willis Found Wife In The Gym

Bruce Willis found his second wife, Emma Heming, in a gym during a self-imposed relationship ban.

The movie star admits he had turned his "back on love" and spent four years casually dating, refusing to commit, when he met the model while working out.

He tells Men's Journal magazine, "My stance was to just keep saying no (to relationships) but I did know that you're unlikely to find your wife - or any partner - in a nightclub or in a bar.

"I married someone I had already known for three years from working out at the same gym. That doesn't happen very often." »

Collins Turns Up The Glamour For Jewellery Range
4 hours ago

Hollywood icon Joan Collins has been unveiled as the new face of designer Alexis Bittar's costume jewellery range.

The veteran actress, 76, has turned back the time for the modelling shots, in which she emulates the 1980s glamour she was famed for during her stint as Alexis Carrington Colby on U.S. TV soap Dynasty.

And Collins admits she jumped at the chance to pose for Bittar's cameras because she is a big fan of elaborate costume jewels.

She says, "I don't collect real jewels, as I travel so much, but I have a vast selection of costume jewellery since I was a teenager (sic).

"Alexis Bittar is by far my favourite costume jewellery designer. His whimsical designs suit my personality effortlessly. I always feel glamorous and sexy whenever I adorn myself in his creations."

Posters for the new advertising campaign were launched in New York this month, to coincide with the city's Fashion Week, which kicks off on Thursday. »

Gossett Jr. Battling Prostate Cancer

Veteran actor Louis Gossett Jr. has been diagnosed with prostate cancer.

The An Officer and a Gentleman star has started an intensive treatment programme to battle the disease.

Gossett reveals the cancer is in its early stages and he's determined to remain optimistic so he can get back to work as soon as possible.

He says, "I count this diagnosis among the many challenges I have faced in my life and overcome. I expect this to be no different."

Gossett made the revelation on Tuesday in a bid to encourage other black men to undergo regular examinations to prevent the spread of the cancer.

He adds, "(I wanted) to set an example for the large number of African-American men who are victims of this disease because of the comparatively low emphasis in our community on preventive examinations and early treatment." »

Scottish actor Kevin McKidd has shameful memories of his school days - he was once reduced to tears after teachers unmasked him as a thief in front of his classmates.

The Grey's Anatomy star was caught stealing a packet of cookies, and as a punishment McKidd was humiliated for his shameful act.

He says, "I got caught shoplifting when I was little. I got caught stealing a pack of mini cookies and was dragged up in front of the whole school. They called a special assembly and it was announced that 'there was a thief in our midst'. I cried all the way to the stage." »

Roberts' Good Luck Charm From Prince

Emma Roberts has a special souvenir from her first Prince concert - she keeps the singer's guitar pick as a good luck charm.

The actress, 18, saw her R&B idol performing live on U.S. TV's The Tonight Show with Jay Leno in 2008 and managed to beat the crowd to grab a pick the superstar had thrown into the audience.

And now the guitar accessory takes pride of place in Roberts' home.

She explains, "I was in New York once and I saw him walking through a hotel at like two in the morning and that was pretty exciting. This was the first time I saw him perform and I actually have his guitar pick that he performed with because he kind of threw it in that Prince manner that you would throw a guitar pick when you're done playing, and it landed on the floor and no one saw it, so I went and I picked it up. Now I have it as a good luck charm." »

Wilkinson Explains Super Bowl Tears

Former Playboy Playmate Kendra Wilkinson has hit out at the paparazzi for causing her to break down in tears at the Super Bowl on Sunday after they refused to leave her and her newborn baby alone.

The busty blonde was in the stands at the big game in Miami, Florida cheering on her husband, American footballer Hank Baskett, and his team, the Indianapolis Colts.

The Colts lost out on the championship title to the New Orleans Saints and Wilkinson was snapped crying as she left the sports arena.

But the model and reality TV star insists her tears had nothing to do with the Colts' loss - instead blaming it on the snappers who harassed her and continued to take photos of her two-month-old son Hank Jr.

In a post on her Twitter.com page, Wilkinson writes, "I wasn't cryin cuz of the d**n game it's cuz the paparazzi have no soul..they wouldn't leave me n family alone!!!!

"People like to twist this stuff. we asked them to stop cuz of the baby n they were way too close n they didn't care at allllllll (sic)."

And Wilkinson has called on U.S. lawmakers to introduce legislation to protect mothers and their babies.

She adds, "Not sayin i'm tryin to be private but there should be some law on how close they get to u n your child (sic)." »

Fry admitted last year he was house hunting in Los Angeles - where House is filmed - and would love to appear in the drama series.

And now House director Greg Yaitanes has fuelled rumours Fry is shooting a cameo on the show, by revealing the star had visited the set.

King Of The Paparazzi Dead At 80

The celebrity snapper who reportedly inspired the character Paparazzo in Federico Fellini's movie masterpiece La Dolce Vita has died.

Felice Quinto, who was dubbed the 'king of the paparazzi' was 80 when he died in Maryland last month. His death was confirmed by his wife Geraldine on Monday.

He was the first photographer to use aggressive tactics to snap stars and would ride around Rome, Italy on a motorcycle, taking photographs that appeared in gossip publications all over the world.

Fellini reportedly asked Quinto to play a photographer in La Dolce Vita, but the snapper declined the offer because he was making more money taking pictures. He briefly appeared in the film as a bystander.

He later became an Associated Press photographer and famously covered John F. Kennedy’s funeral for the agency.

But he never left celebrity photography for long - Quinto became a regular fixture at New York's Studio 54 nightclub in the 1970s, and Elizabeth Taylor hired him as her personal photographer.

He retired in 1993. »

Renner's Impromptu Musical Performance

The Hurt Locker star Jeremy Renner was left red-faced on U.S. TV on Tuesday after he was coaxed to show off his amateur music skills during an impromptu performance.

The Oscar-nominated actor appeared on talkshow The View with guest co-host Brooke Shields when he was asked to showcase his vocal talents - without a chance to warm up.

Renner proved to be a good sport, but warned viewers before playing his tune: "I'm not a piano player. This is a song I wrote a while back. It's called My World. I'll play a little."

The actor missed a few notes but held the hosts responsible for springing the task on him. Laughing off his shaky performance, he turned to the hosts, and said: "I really hate you." »

Kerrigan's Father's Death Ruled A Homicide
7 hours ago

The death of Nancy Kerrigan's father has been ruled a homicide by Massachusetts officials - two weeks after the athlete's brother was arrested for allegedly assaulting the 70 year old moments before he died.

Mark Kerrigan was taken into custody after his dad Daniel Kerrigan was found unconscious in the kitchen of the family's home in Stoneham, Massachusetts on 24 January.

He pleaded not guilty to charges of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon on an elderly person and causing serious bodily injury.

According to the Middlesex Chief Medical Examiner, the patriarch died from cardiac dysrhythmia after suffering a neck injury during a physical altercation at his home.

Reports also indicate Daniel Kerrigan suffered a cartilage fracture to the larynx area - exacerbated by heart disease.

Daniel Kerrigan was laid to rest on 28 January at a funeral service attended by the beloved former Olympic figure skater-turned-reality TV star and her family.

The investigation continues. »

Washington Turned Down Fences

Denzel Washington repeatedly turned down his upcoming role in Broadway's Fences for years - because he was convinced he was too young to follow in the footsteps of James Earl Jones.

In April, Washington will thread the boards in New York and reprise Jones' 1987 role as patriarch Troy Maxson in the August Wilson revival - which centres around U.S. race-relations in the 1950s.

But Washington continually declined to star in the Tony-winning play until he could realistically follow-up acting legend Jones, who at 79, is 24 years his senior.

Producer Scott Rudin says, "Denzel and I have been having conversations about this one role for years. This was no sudden thought. A long time ago he met August Wilson at Wilson's home in Seattle. It was a rainy afternoon, and they spent time talking. And he loved this particular play. He always wanted to do it 'one day.'

"The reason it was 'one day' was because Denzel's role in Fences is that of the patriarch father. The character is 54. Denzel didn't think he was old enough. So many years have passed and we've talked about it so long."

And it wasn't until Washington earned a boost of confidence from his role in Broadway's 2005 revival of Julius Caesar that he finally agreed to the project.

Rudin adds,"He's already done Broadway in 2005 as Brutus in a Julius Caesar revival, so that he now feels he's old enough." »

Nolan To Swap Batman For Superman?

Batman Begins and The Dark Knight director Christopher Nolan has been asked to oversee the next Superman movie, according to reports.

Nolan's two superhero outings have been massive box office hits, breathing new life into the franchise and attracting the attention of Warner Bros studio chiefs, who were disappointed with 2006 Man of Steel film Superman Returns.

According to Deadline Hollywood, Bryan Singer will stay on as director, but Nolan has been asked to serve as "godfather" on the new sequel and oversee production.

An insider tells the site, "We know what we don't want to do. But we don't know what we want to do. We learned a lot from the last movie, and we want to get it right this time.

"Warner Bros doesn't have a handle yet on it... they need to hear a great story that makes sense."

Superman star Brandon Routh is expected to reprise his role in the sequel - which currently has no release date. »

Roberts' Kind Of Funny Hair Scare

Emma Roberts suffered a hair-raising disaster while filming It's Kind Of A Funny Story - the actress' locks were accidentally dyed green for the role.

The brunette actress agreed to go blonde for the movie, but a string of mishaps at the salon left her regretting the decision.

She explains, "I (dyed) it for a movie called It's Kind of a Funny Story. I just thought it would be fun to do something different but I had to sit in the hair chair for ten hours for two days to get this because my hair was brown and then they tried to dye it blonde and it turned green - very scary. I was literally like, 'Are you sure this is going to be blonde?' And then it turned red. And then it was blonde."

But Roberts admits fair hair does have its perks - she's noticed male fans now find her more attractive.

She adds, "It's weird because when I had brown hair, girls would be like, 'You're so pretty and so grown up.' And then when I had blonde hair, guys would be like, 'You're really hot.'" »

Bonham Carter Sick Of Playing 'Corset Sex Symbol'

Helena Bonham Carter is glad her days as a young British actress are behind her - because she no longer has to play the "corset sex symbol."

The 43 year old made her name playing upper-class characters in period dramas, kick-starting her career in the 1986 adaptation of E. M. Forster's A Room With A View, before starring in critically-acclaimed films Howards End and The Wings of The Dove.

But over the last decade, the actress has opted for darker roles - and insists she doesn't pine for the days she was typecast as an early 20th century heroine.

She tells Britain's Guardian newspaper, "Ageing has helped hugely. There's no question I'm a better actor, and you leave behind a certain typecasting. I was like the corset bimbo. Well, not quite bimbo, but you know what I mean. The corset sex symbol, I suppose. Now I'm not going to be the sex symbol, I'm going to be the granny." »

Roberts' 'Scary' Car Crash

Teenage actress Emma Roberts had to buy her second car just months after passing her driving test - after a "scary" accident wrecked the star's first purchase.

Julia Roberts' 18-year-old niece obtained her driver's licence on her second attempt last year and celebrated by treating herself to her own vehicle.

But a bad accident left her car beyond repair and although the incident has made her a more careful driver, Roberts admits she suffers from nerves every time she gets behind the wheel of her new planet-friendly Toyota Prius.

She explains, "I got in a really bad accident which was scary. But I'm now a much more cautious driver because of it. Everyone says, 'Were you on your iPod or your phone?' And actually, I wasn't. I really wasn't. Long story short, my car was in the shop for four or five months and that was sad. I had a big car too it was the scariest thing ever." »

The Mean Girls star was rumoured to have enlisted the help of doctors to improve her smile with injectable fillers, after she was spotted with what looked like a cut on her top lip.

But Lohan is adamant she's not undergone any cosmetic procedures - and she's posted a close-up image of her mouth on her Twitter.com page in a bid to prove her point.

In a post on the website, she writes, "Tabloids are lies. Why are all of my friends asking me if I have a cut on my lip? Lol (laugh out loud) coz I don't (sic). See! My lips are just as they've always been. It's nuts that I feel the need to give proof! What is this world coming to." »

Duvall: 'Retirement Will Kill Me'

The Godfather legend Robert Duvall has no plans to step out of the limelight - because so many people die soon after they retire.

The 79-year-old Oscar-winner has spent over five decades as an actor, and stars in 2009's critically acclaimed Crazy Heart, which has earned Jeff Bridges a Best Actor Academy Award nomination at next months' ceremony.

And although he is way past retirement age, Duvall is adamant actors don't need to stop working when they get old.

He tells Britain's Observer, "Retiring is like the end of the world, especially in this business. You need self-fulfilment. Why retire? An athlete retires at 35, 40 at the most; an actor doesn't have to retire till he's 80 or whatever. A lot of people, when they retire, it's over, they're gone... men quicker than women." »

Avatar Breaks U.K. Box Office Record

James Cameron's sci-fi epic Avatar has broken another record - the blockbuster has become the highest grossing film in U.K. box office history.

The Oscar-nominated movie pulled in $6.9 million (£4.3 million) in its eighth week of release (01-07Feb10), pushing it over the $115 million (£72 million) mark since it hit British cinemas in December.

The massive ticket sales mean Avatar has now overtaken Abba musical Mamma Mia! to become Britain's best-selling film ever.

The news comes just a week after the movie broke U.S. box office records, putting it ahead of Cameron's 1997 hit Titanic as the best-selling North American release of all time.

In the U.K. chart, Disney's The Princess And The Frog was a new entry taking $3.5 million (£2.2 million), followed by Astro Boy, Invictus and Sherlock Holmes. »

Letterman's Sidekick Hospitalised

David Letterman's TV sidekick was hospitalised on Monday after a game of catch on the show went awry.

The U.S. talk show host was enjoying a break during the taping of The Late Show with David Letterman when he started passing a ball to his stage manager, Biff Henderson, who is often involved in comedy segments of the TV programme.

But Letterman's last throw to his sidekick went wrong when Henderson moved to catch the ball and tumbled off the stage in front of the studio audience. Before he knew Henderson had been hurt, Letterman quipped, "I can smell a lawsuit."

Audience member Sheva Oliver tells the New York Daily News, "They cut the cameras and the band played for about 20 minutes and that's how we all knew it was serious."

The crew cut the taping and the 63 year old was attended by medics, who moved him onto a gurney and took him to Roosevelt Hospital in an ambulance.

Henderson was treated for a leg injury and released later that night. »

De Rossi Writing Tell-all Book

Ellen DeGeneres' wife Portia De Rossi is set to lift the lid on her private life with a tell-all book - which will include her struggles with her sexuality and harrowing details of her battle with anorexia.

The Australian actress, who was born Amanda Lee Rogers, has signed a deal to publish her memoirs which will detail her early years as she came to terms with her sexual orientation, and her public 'outing' while she was starring in hit sitcom Ally McBeal.

The 37 year old has previously admitted keeping her sexuality secret from her co-workers until pictures of the star with her ex-girlfriend, singer Francesca Gregorini, emerged in the press.

The book will also chronicle De Rossi's long battle with eating disorders.

She tells The Advocate magazine, "I'm writing a book. It'll be published in the fall, so... I have to be done with it before then. It will deal with all the secrets that nearly killed me. Nobody can really get inside the anorexic's mind like the anorexic."

And De Rossi admits DeGeneres, who she married in 2008, encouraged her to put pen to paper.

She adds, "My mother thought I would be a writer. When I started writing little notes to Ellen, she said, 'You should be a writer.' Which is very encouraging and very sweet." »

Aniston 'Helping Mexico' With Birthday Holiday
14 hours ago

Jennifer Aniston chose to celebrate her 41st birthday in Mexico to help boost the country's tourism industry.

The former Friends actress jetted off to the sun-soaked resort of Los Cabos last week (Begs01Feb10) with pals Courteney Cox, Sheryl Crow and rumoured love interest Gerard Butler for a week of fun leading up to her birthday on Wednesday.

And Aniston has revealed she chose the destination to help encourage others to return to Mexico for holidays following the recent swine flu outbreak, which crippled the country last year.

She tells Access Hollywood she arranged the trip after a male friend suggested it to her: "He said to me, ’You come to Mexico all the time and Mexico is really hurting right now because of the swine flu and the drug trafficking and all of this sort of stuff but it’s not all of Mexico.' These people survive on us coming down and spending money and coming here to these beautiful places. It sort of made sense to sort of say ‘Hey, let’s help out Mexico.' Let’s shout out to these kids in Tijuana at El Faro. That’s sort of our birthday celebration this year.”

And Aniston will take time out from her celebrations to launch a charity initiative for the El Faro organisation, which raises funds for an orphanage in Tijuana, Mexico.

She adds, "I have to tell you when you drive up to this place you see these kids come running out and you hear a chorus of (sings), and they are just bright. These kids don’t feel like they are sitting there going, 'Oh my life sucks, look at where I live.’ They have been given a lot of love and they’re getting educated, which is the most important thing for them is to have an education and have knowledge of what they can do.” »

Twilight Bosses Sue Over Documentary

Movie bosses behind the Twilight franchise are suing the makers of a documentary about the city featured in the films - alleging the cover art is too similar to their own DVD release.

Executives at Summit Entertainment have made a documentary about Forks, Washington to correspond with the DVD launch of their latest blockbuster - The Twilight Saga: New Moon, next month.

But a new lawsuit alleges the release of Twilight in Forks: The Saga of the Real Town has been marred by a similar documentary from Topics Entertainment, also about the area where the vampire stories are played out on the big screen.

Lawyers for Summit have filed court papers alleging the Topics film, Forks: Bitten by Twilight, features cover art that is too similar to their own trademarked Twilight style.

The lawsuit is seeking an injunction against the Topics documentary as well as damages, according to TMZ.com. »

De Rossi Puts Gay Rights Campaigning Before Acting
14 hours ago

Ellen DeGeneres' wife Portia De Rossi is thankful she's one half of a Hollywood power couple - because she wants to use her fame to "make a difference" in the fight for gay rights.

The openly gay pair wed in 2008, taking advantage of the Supreme Court ruling which legalised same-sex unions in California.

But their rights were revoked just months later after the passing of the Proposition 8 bill, which reversed the previous ruling permitting the marriages.

De Rossi believes she has finally found her real calling as she steps into her new role as a gay rights campaigner - and hopes she can make a real change in the world.

She tells The Advocate magazine, "Ever since Ellen and I got together, I feel like I've been given an opportunity to actually - God, this sounds corny... Well, I feel like my life can actually kind of stand for something. And I don't mean that in a self-aggrandising way, like, 'Look at me, I can make a difference.' But I feel like, maybe I get why I'm here. Maybe by sharing my life, I can make people more aware of how important gay marriage is."

And the former Ally McBeal star is adamant fighting for gay rights is the number one priority in her life - even over-shadowing her acting career.

She adds, "Of course (it's more important than acting.) Actors come and go. Characters come and go. TV shows come and go. While acting is entertaining, for me personally, it's a little empty. My career is only a part of my life, and it's certainly not what I think I was born to do."

De Rossi will be lauded with the Human Rights Campaign's Visibility Award at a ceremony in Los Angeles next month, in honour of her "courage to come out publicly and to take a stand for same-sex marriage." »

Club Boss Paciello Arrested After Brawl

Hollywood nightclub boss Chris Paciello is in trouble with the law again after he was arrested on a charge of assault with a deadly weapon last week.

The socialite, who once dated Madonna, was taken into custody following an alleged brawl with club security at the Voyeur nightspot in Miami, Florida.

He was booked on an assault with a deadly weapon charge, and was later bailed on a $30,000 (£18,750) bond.

However, his lawyer, Keith Fink, tells New York gossip column Page Six that the only weapon his client used was his fists in self-defence.

He explains to the publication, "There was no weapon involved. The only weapon was his hands. The bouncers were pushing a number of people outside Voyeur, and a number of fights broke out. Chris pushed back, and then three or four bouncers jumped on him and kicked the s**t out of him. He was in the wrong place at the wrong time. He is contemplating civil action against the bouncers."

Paciello, who has also dated model/actress Sofia Vergara, walked free from jail in 2006 after serving seven years of a 10-year sentence for taking part in a bungled raid in Staten Island, New York in 1983 that left a woman dead. »

Banks Recruits Vogue Editor For Top Model
18 hours ago

Supermodel Tyra Banks is adding high-fashion credentials to America's Next Top Model - she's recruited Vogue editor-at-large Andre Leon Talley to the hit series' judging panel.

Banks first approached larger-than-life Talley when she was planning the TV contest in 2002 - but she's only now managed to convince the veteran trendsetter to join the show, which has become a ratings hit and spawned spin-offs across the globe.

Talley tells Women's Wear Daily, "At that point, I said no because it was the beginning. I was thinking I wanted to see where it goes...

"I felt maybe (now) I could contribute something to it that had not been on the show. I just felt that it was a way to step out of the box and associate myself with a very important American success story, a very important brand - Tyra Banks."

And Banks is confident Talley will improve the competition, adding, "Andre speaks about fashion and he has such a passion, and the words - the adverbs, the adjectives - he uses! I know it's going to make the viewer at home go, 'Wow.' It might go over their head, but he's educating them about a time, bringing them back to a place when fashion was life."

Talley has agreed to film three seasons of the series, the first of which airs on 10 March in the U.S. »

Barrymore To Remake Charlie's Angels

Drew Barrymore is giving wings to Charlie's Angels - the actress is making plans to bring the hit TV series back to the small screen.

Barrymore has produced and starred in two film adaptations of the 1970s show - and now she's breathing new life into the franchise, which launched Farrah Fawcett's career, by reviving it for TV.

Barrymore is currently scouting a new trio of sexy crimefighters and insists they must be "incredibly capable, but not take themselves too seriously. That's a tough combination to find."

Meanwhile filmmaker McG, who directed Barrymore in her Angels films, will serve as consultant on the project - and is aiming to diversify the team of secret agents.

He adds, "This is a more progressive, 2010 take on the idea. We want to be even more progressive in terms of racial background."

McG has named Rihanna as his dream Angel. »

Stern Confirms Idol Gossip

Shock jock Howard Stern has confirmed reports he has been approached to replace Simon Cowell when the British music mogul quits American Idol.

The controversial radio DJ is currently in discussions with TV bosses to take on Cowell's spot on the U.S. talent show's panel when the Brit's contract expires in May.

And he insists he would love to take part in the series - if executives at TV network Fox can pay him enough money.

Speaking on his Sirius Xm Radio show, Stern says, "There's not a better job on the planet than judging that f**ing karaoke contest. It might be possible, we'll see. They'd have to pay me a ton of dough because I already make a ton of dough."

And Stern promises he will be even more frank with the wannabe pop stars than Cowell: "I'd say, 'Go work out!' I'm going to be frank with these people and say, 'You're fat! How many fat pop stars do you see?' I'm gonna wear a badge on my chest and say there's a whole new sheriff in town."

Stern's multi-million dollar contract with Sirius expires next January. »

Hefner Sued By Playboy Shareholder

Hugh Hefner is facing legal action from a Playboy shareholder over allegations the ageing magazine mogul is refusing to give up his lifestyle and sell the flagging company.

The class action lawsuit maintains Hefner has deliberately sabotaged two potential deals in the past six months to sell off the adult magazine, which the shareholder claims is falling apart.

The plaintiff alleges the 83 year old enjoys the company of models too much to give up the brand he founded, despite its quickly plummeting worth.

In the lawsuit, an investment company that analysed Playboy's business claims, "If you were Hugh Hefner... would you give up the parade of busty blondes, the fancy mansion and the reality TV show for a pay-out?

"Hefner has continued to live the good life and make sure everyone knows it. Hefner remains in the limelight, showing up at media events and at the Playboy mansion... with his girlfriends by his side."

The plaintiff, who is seeking unspecified damages, also claims the price of a Playboy magazine - $5.99 (£3.75) in the U.S. - is more expensive than its stock. »

Mueller Moving Back In With Sheen

Brooke Mueller is moving back in with her husband Charlie Sheen, according to her lawyer.

The actor was charged with felony menacing, third degree assault and misdemeanour criminal mischief in court in Aspen, Colorado on Monday in relation to a Christmas Day fight in which Sheen allegedly threatened his spouse with a knife.

He did not enter a plea.

The husband and wife have been separated by a protection order since the incident, but they were allowed to fly back to Los Angeles together after the ban was modified at the hearing, according to Mueller's lawyer Yale Galanter.

He tells E! Online, "Brooke's desire was to get the order modified so they could have contact and communicate because of their children. Judge Boyd was gracious enough to grant that and now Charlie and Brooke are on their way back to L.A. to continue their lives.

"We need to give them a chance to be alone and catch up on everything that has happened over the last couple of months. We'll see what happens."

The attorney admits his client is eager to reconcile with the Two and a Half Men star for the sake of their twin baby sons.

He adds, "Brooke very badly wanted to have contact with Charlie. There are many children's issues that she wanted to communicate with him about... They have two gorgeous beautiful babies together." »

Miller's Embarrassing Wardrobe Malfunction
8 February 2010 5:31 PM, PST

Victoria's Secret model Marisa Miller showed off more than her football skills at a pre-Super Bowl celebrity football game at the weekend - thanks to a pants-dropping play from funnyman Tom Arnold.

The pair joined Twilight stars Taylor Lautner and Kellan Lutz and Gossip Girl's Chace Crawford and Ed Westwick to show off their football skills at the 2010 Directv Celebrity Beach Bowl in South Beach, Miami.

But a defensive play from Arnold left Miller exposing her assets to the star-studded crowd when he grabbed the rear of her pants instead of the flag attached to her waist - in a bid to stop her from scoring.

The red-faced model was still a winner though - she was named the Most Valuable Player after the game. »

Sidibe's Mum A Busker
8 February 2010 5:31 PM, PST

Gabourey Sidibe's mum has made singing in New York City subways her full-time job.

Alice Tan Ridley, a former nursery school teacher, has been belting out R&B tunes in the subway for 18 years - and she insists she can support herself without relying on her actress daughter, who found fame and landed an Oscar nomination for her role in Precious: Based on the Novel Push by Sapphire.

Ridley tells the New York Post, "My name is not on Gabby's paycheck. For a while, I was teaching and doing the singing, burning the candle at both ends to support my family. When I come home at the end of the day, I have enough to pay my bills and feed my kids. People always say, 'Why don't you sing in clubs?' I tell 'em, 'This is my club.'"

Ridley is now attempting to raise funds by playing in the underground three times a week so she can buy new equipment and put on even bigger shows.

She explains, "My voice is so big that it's blown out my amp (amplifier), so I can't do more than that until I can afford a new amp." »
