A man accused of stalking Jennifer Garner is facing criminal charges following
his arrest on Monday.
A judge ordered Steven Burky to stay at least 100 yards (300 feet/91 metres)
away from the star's family last month - but the stalker was spotted outside
the Los Angeles nursery the actress' four-year-old daughter Violet attends
earlier this week and arrested.
The Los Angeles District Attorney has charged Burky with two counts of felony
stalking and two misdemeanour counts of disobeying a court order.
Garner has claimed in court documents that Burky has been stalking her since
2002, revealing he has also been sending "packages and letters containing
delusional and paranoid thoughts."
She added, "His obsessive and harassing behaviour has escalated to the
point of becoming dangerous and threatening."
Burky, who remains in police custody, faces up to four years in prison.
Beckham
Cuts Chat Show Host's Hair
David Beckham turned hair stylist on U.S. TV on Wednesday when he agreed to
give chat show host and comedian George Lopez a trim.
The soccer star and model is famous for his various hairstyles and offered
to style Lopez's hair into a faux-hawk on Lopez Tonight!
Beckham told the host he's no novice and often styles his own hair.
He said, "I kinda get bored... I wake up in the morning and I'm bored
with what my hair looks like and I'll just cut it myself.
"My mum's a hairdresser, so I inherit that a little bit."
Beckham took the scissors to Lopez's hair and then gelled it into shape. …
Parker Tears Up Discussing Daughter's Adoption
17 hours ago
Weeds star Mary-louise Parker fought back tears during a U.S. TV interview
on Thursday when she recalled the first time her son met his adopted sister
and welcomed the African girl with open arms.
The actress became mum to Ethiopian girl Caroline 'Ash' Aberash in 2007, a
little sister for her biological son William, now five.
She admits she didn't really discuss the adoption with her child, whose father
is actor Billy Crudup, until the legal documents had been approved and finalised.
But the timing luckily coincided with her son's desire to have a younger sibling.
She said, "I waited and one day he said, 'Mummy, a little brother or
sister is something I don't have, so I think we should turn around and go to
the pet store and get one.' I was like, 'I don't think they have those at the
pet store...' But my paperwork had already gone through so I was like, 'I think
I'll do that'."
Parker decided to take William with her to meet Ash for the first time and
she reveals it is one of her most treasured memories, because the boy was so
accepting of his new sister.
The actress confesses she was a little overwhelmed by the whole adoption process,
and her son actually helped her cope with the big life change.
Fighting back tears on The Bonnie Hunt Show, she explained, "One of the
most amazing, magical things was my son, when he saw her, he was just immediately
like, 'I'm your brother,' and, in a way, I learned from him.
"It's like, 'There's this child, my child, and you have an afro (hairstyle),
what do I do with you? You're malnourished, what do I do?' But he was just
like, 'You're ours!' And a month later he's hitting her over the head with
his (toy)!"
But Parker has no regrets about taking on such a big task as a single mother: "It's
crazy and hard and she's a little crazy! But it's amazing and magical and it
wouldn't be my family without her." …
Oscar-winning actress Jennifer Jones has died, aged 90.

Jones was one of Hollywood's biggest stars in the 1940s and 1950s, and appeared
in other films including 1948 western Duel in the Sun, 1955 drama Love is a
Many-Splendored Thing and war movie The Man in the Gray Flannel Suit, in 1956.
In her later years, she was deeply involved in overseeing California's Norton
Simon Museum, as the widow of its founder, millionaire industrialist Norton

U.K. Officials Place Restrictions On Ritchie's Pub
17 hours ago
Guy Ritchie has been ordered to reign in rowdy patrons flocking to his famed
London pub - after neighbours challenged the British filmmaker's licence
at a local council meeting.
The Snatch director bought the The Punch Bowl in the city's posh Mayfair neighbourhood
in early 2008 and transformed the traditional bar into a celebrity hotspot.
But not everyone likes the star-studded hang-out.
Local residents have demanded City of Westminster Council officials either
revoke or change the pub's license, arguing the place attracts large crowds
of noisy customers, who spill out into the street and leave behind broken glass
and trash.
Council bosses have ordered Ritchie and his co-proprietors to keep patrons
indoors after 8pm and to scale down their private parties.
Employees have also been told to make hourly checks outside the pub for glasses
and litter. …

Moviemaker Kathyrn Bigelow has been given another major Oscars boost - she'll

in February.
The filmmaker's The Hurt Locker has emerged as an early Oscars Best Film favourite
and she's among the frontrunners to land a Best Director honour.

Kim Kardashian has dismissed rumours she's preparing to move in with her American
footballer boyfriend Reggie Bush after selling off her apartment in Los Angeles.
The socialite and reality TV star sparked claims she was ready to set up home
in Louisiana with Bush when she placed her Hollywood property on the market
in November with a price tag of $1 million (£625,000).
She recently offloaded the home for slightly less than her asking price but
insists she has no plans to relocate to the South, where Bush plays for the
New Orleans Saints.
Kardashian says, "I just sold it, below $1 million but more than what
I bought it for. Reggie's keeping his place in New Orleans. I don't know if
I'd move to New Orleans though."
The brunette beauty has been dating Bush since 2007 after reuniting following
a brief split this summer. …
Director Bryan Singer has confirmed he's signed up to take charge of the latest
X-men film.
The moviemaker first brought the comic book characters to the big screen in
2000's X-Men and returned for the 2003 sequel.
But Singer dropped out of the franchise ahead of the third blockbuster, 2006's
X-Men: The Last Stand, leaving Brett Ratner in control while he took over another
superhero franchise with Superman Returns.
But now the original X-Men director is back on board to take charge of the
new prequel, X-Men: First Class, which tells the story of the superheroes as
youngsters. It follows the recent release of X-Men Origins: Wolverine, which
told the story of Hugh Jackman's clawed character before the first three films.
Singer says, "I just signed yesterday to do an X-Men: First Class origins
picture. Which is kind of cool. I'm very excited."
The film will be written by Gossip Girl developer Josh Schwartz and is billed
as a darker version of the previous films.
Producer Lauren Schuler Donner recently revealed, "We want it to be like
the recent, darker (Harry) Potters. It should not be a kiddie movie: we're
in the X-Men world so you can't suddenly change the tone." …
Weaver Declined Branson's Space Invite
Alien star Sigourney Weaver has turned down an invitation from Virgin tycoon
Sir Richard Branson to join him on a journey into space.
The 60-year-old actress issued a public plea to Branson in 2008, begging the
British entrepreneur to let her be the next celebrity to venture into space.
She said, "I'd love to go (to space). Sure, if I had the opportunity.
I read somewhere that I was going... I apparently was on the passenger list.
I was apparently on the invitation (from Branson)."
The invitation eventually turned up on her doorstep, but Weaver admits she
chose to decline the offer because the sci-fi icon, who famously battled extraterrestrials
in space as Lieutenant Ellen Ripley in the horror franchise, didn't want to
scare other passengers on the Virgin Galactic 'spaceliner'.
She says, "Richard Branson was kind enough to invite me but I thought
the last thing people who pay that kind of money want to see is me, coming
out, looking in the overhead rack looking for God knows what. There might be
an alien aboard! 'What's she doing here? What does it mean?!'"
A trip on the first privately developed carrier is estimated to cost $200,000
(£125,000).
Bosses at Branson's Virgin Galactic will begin testing the craft early next
year, with the first flights due to launch in 2011. …

Tucci's Wife Advised Against The Lovely Bones Role
19 hours ago
Stanley Tucci's late wife urged him not to accept a role in emotional drama
The Lovely Bones, because she feared the subject matter would be too harrowing.
The actor portrays serial killer George Harvey in the movie, based on author
Alice Sebold's bestselling book about a young teenager who watches over her
grieving family and her murderer from heaven after being brutally raped and
killed.
Tucci's spouse Kate warned him off the project after reading the tragic novel,
but he refused to listen and was cast in The Lovely Bones alongside Mark Wahlberg,
Susan Sarandon and Saoirse Ronan.
But when he decided to pick up the book, he found himself struggling to finish
the story because the detailed rape and murder scenes were too traumatic.
He says, "I hadn't read the book, but my wife read the book and when
I got the script, she said, 'You can't do that.' I read the script and then
later I read the book, but I couldn't focus on the book in its entirety, it's
just too painful."
Director Peter Jackson decided against showing the horrific act in the movie
version, instead showing actress Ronan, as victim Susie Salmon, escaping the
cornfield pit where she was brutally killed as a ghost.
But Tucci is still hesitant about ever showing the film to his three young
daughters, even when they're adults.
He adds, "Maybe when they're 40! (But) they don't like to watch movies
with me in them."
Tucci's performance has been lauded by critics, landing him nominations for
next year's Screen Actor's Guild Awards and the Golden Globes.
Depp 'Honoured' To Fill Ledger's Shoes
Johnny Depp felt "privileged" to replace Heath Ledger in new movie
The Imaginarium Of Dr. Parnassus, describing the late star as a "thundering
and ungovernable talent".
Ledger was midway through making the movie when he died from an accidental
drug overdose in January 2008.
Director Terry Gilliam chose to fill his character in the remaining scenes
with an ensemble cast of Jude Law, Colin Farrell and Depp, who starred in his
1998 movie Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas.
Depp admits it was tough filling the Oscar winner's shoes, but he felt honoured
to share the screen with an actor he admired.
He tells Moviefone.com, "Though the circumstances of my involvement are
extremely heartrending and unbelievably sad, I feel privileged to have been
asked aboard to stand in on behalf of dear Heath...
"He was the only player out there breathing heavy down the back of every
established actor's neck with a thundering and ungovernable talent that came
up on you quick, hissing rather mischievously with that cheeky grin, 'Hey...
get on out of my way boys, I'm coming through!' And does he ever!" …
Steven Spielberg is teaming up with Billy Elliott writer Lee Hall to take a
World War I novel to the big screen.

which follows the relationship between a boy and his horse in the backdrop
of the Great War.
Spielberg has recruited Hall to adapt the book for Hollywood, and he will
produce the project. It is unknown if he will also direct.

Hollywood actor Ashton Kutcher is resurrecting his cancelled TV show The Beautiful
Life for an internet-only run following a campaign from upset fans.
The series, which starred Mischa Barton as a troubled supermodel, was axed
in September after just two episodes following low ratings.
Last month, rumours circulated suggesting the show could be brought back,
and now executive producer Kutcher has confirmed the remaining episodes will
air online on video sharing website YouTube.com. Kutcher reveals the decision
to revive the show came after he was besieged by devoted fans who wanted to
see the rest of the series.
He says, "Given the rise of social media and the scale of online consumer
reach, original content producers are turning to the web to connect mass audiences
with high-quality entertainment programming.
"When The Beautiful Life concluded on broadcast television, we were deluged

she realised a friendly baby calf was facing death.
The vegetarian Splash star has been a keen environmentalist for years, running
her green home on solar power and driving a car that runs on biodiesel.
And the 49 year old is convinced the day her outlook changed was when she
had a chance encounter with a little calf in the U.S.
She says, "I was 11 and on a road trip with my family. I saw a truck
with some baby calves on it and for about an hour I petted and kissed this
one calf and he was kissing me.
"This man came up and I said, 'Excuse me Sir, what's this calf's name?'

Broderick, showed off pictures of the tots to U.S. talk show host David Letterman.
She told him, "They are physically, intellectually, spiritually, geographically,
politically, ideologically, religiously, as different as two small six-month-olds
could be. One of them is a Republican, which is weird, but we have Mets and
Yankees fans in our house too, so we’re used to a divided house.”
She also said James has been "very hospitable" welcoming his baby

17 December 2009 4:02 AM, PST
Reese Witherspoon ended her relationship with Jake Gyllenhaal because she felt
pressured to wed, according to U.S. reports.
Last month, rumours began circulating suggesting the Hollywood stars had called
off their two-year romance, and the pair reportedly broke up for good earlier
this month.
New reports claim Witherspoon ended the relationship to concentrate on her
children, Ava, 10, and six-year-old Deacon, from her marriage to Ryan Phillippe.
And Gyllenhaal has been left devastated by the split, which "broke his
heart" according to Us Weekly magazine.
A source tells the publication, "No one cheated. There was no drama.
She felt pressured to wed again but she wasn't ready... She couldn't give Jake
enough and she got cold feet. Jake wanted all of her. She really worried that
they didn't have enough in common. When she was giving all of her energy to
Jake, she felt like she wasn't giving her kids enough. He was great with the
kids, but she felt like he didn't get the whole scope of what that entailed." …

Fergie's Flash On Nine Set
17 December 2009 12:06 AM, PST
Black Eyed Peas star Fergie accidentally flashed the cast and crew of movie
musical Nine - she kept "flying out" of her corset during a saucy
dance number.
The singer plays vampish prostitute Saraghinain in Rob Marshall's spectacular,
and performs a vigorous all-singing all-dancing routine in the film.
Fergie's skimpy outfit could barely contain her assets - and the movie's costume
designer Colleen Atwood was forced to rethink the star's clothing after an
embarrassing wardrobe malfunction.
Atwood tells Wwd.com, "Fergie's dance was all about keeping Fergie in
the corset. It was a really tiny corset and (it) didn't have straps. We had
to add them in the end because, with all that dancing, she was just flying
out of it." …
Lucas Loses Battle Over Star Wars Memorabilia
17 December 2009 12:06 AM, PST
George Lucas has lost a copyright battle with a propmaker over a collection
of replica helmets from the Star Wars films.
The director's company, Lucasfilm, sued British businessman Andrew Ainsworth,
who created the original Stormtrooper helmets for the 1976 sci-fi epic, after
he began selling replicas made from the original mould used for the hit movies.
Officials at Lucasfilm filed a $20 million (£12 million) lawsuit against Ainsworth
in the U.S., which successfully blocked the sale of the helmets, and had hoped
for the same ruling in Britain.
But the U.K.'s Court of Appeal dismissed the case on Wednesday.
A judge ruled that even though Ainsworth does not own the design, he has not
broken any British law because his creations are "not works of art."
Bosses at Lucasfilm are now planning to take the case to Britain’s Supreme
Court in a bid to overturn the verdict.
In a statement, the company says: "The judges in the case dismissed the
creative efforts of film designers and prop makers in general, saying that
props are the work of people who 'did not make it as artists' and not fine
art that should be valued under the law.” …

We’ll see where he ends up after Robin Hood." …

16 December 2009 5:37 PM, PST
Socialite Nicky Hilton has a gardener to thank for thwarting a full-scale raid
on her Hollywood home - burglars made off with little more than trinkets
when a handyman stumbled across the recent break-in.
Thieves made off with Hilton's laptop and Lalique crystal collection but her
sister Paris insists it could have been much worse.
She says, "Thank God the gardener actually saw someone in the house and
scared them away. They broke the window.
"We couldn't find the cats; we thought the cats had escaped through the
window, but they were hiding under a bed, thank God. It was scary." …

near his home in Mississippi in August 2008.
Freeman was sporting a glove on his left hand during a recent appearance on
