Nicole Kidman is preparing to squirm through a screening of her new movie musical
Nine - because the actress can't stand watching herself on film.

American artist Jeanne-claude has died from complications following a brain
aneurysm. She was 74.
Jeanne-Claude and her husband Christo were famous for constructing dramatic
installations around the world; including wrapping the Reichstag in Berlin,

he is "deeply saddened" but has vowed "the art of Christo and
Jeanne-Claude will continue".
At the time of her death, the pair was in the process of covering the Arkansas

The actor is adamant that if his new detective movie doesn't do well as the

He tells Entertainment Weekly, "I can only be a guy on a call sheet probably,
I don’t know, maybe a couple more times. It’s something I’m so grateful to
have in my palm, and yet I already see its inevitable decay.
"If Sherlock Holmes performs well, I could be busy for the next 5 or

Students Don't Find Law So Sweet After Orange Attack
16 hours ago
A group of New York students incurred the wrath of Jude Law after taking juicy
snaps of him exercising on his apartment balcony - the actor pelted them
with oranges.
New York University freshmans Priya Vij and Erica Rose were thrilled to discover
the Alfie star had moved in next door to their dorm in Manhattan's Washington
Square.
After passing on the information to her dormmates, Vij regularly invited pals
to her room in the hope of getting a glimpse of the British hunk.
She tells the New York Post, "There is pretty much chaos on every floor
when he comes out.
"We have the best view on the floor. It is exciting to have a celebrity
living right next to you. He is really attractive. He's rugged and scruffy."
But Law doesn't seem to appreciate his fan club, and showed his distaste when
the group started taking pictures while he worked out - by throwing oranges
at their window.
Fellow student Neha Najeeb tells the New York Post, "He noticed we were
there and we started waving at him. Then he went inside and came back with
two oranges. He threw them at our window, but he missed.
"(Another time)... he hit the windows - there was orange pulp on the
glass for a week - and then he went back to working out. Now we don't like
Jude Law anymore." »

Ungaro Bosses Back Lohan
Officials at Emanuel Ungaro have dismissed rumours they are set to drop Lindsay
Lohan as a creative consultant following her widely-panned catwalk contribution
in September.
The Mean Girls star showed off her style sense by designing a line for the
Parisian fashion house, but her creations were mauled by the critics, with
style bible Women's Wear Daily calling the collection "an embarrassment".
The company's founder Emanuel Ungaro, who is no longer involved with the firm,
also criticised Lohan's designs, labelling the runway show a "disaster."
Lohan has subsequently been hit by rumours of infighting at Ungaro as officials
decide whether to continue her contract - New York Post gossip column PageSix
reports chairman Asim Abdullah has been urging CEO Mounir Moufarrige to drop
the actress.
But a spokesperson for Abdullah insists the stories aren't true - admitting
Lohan will continue with the label, despite the negative reviews.
The rep tells the publication, "Such an insinuation is totally absurd." »

Jackman Heals Rift With Mum

Hugh Jackman has healed the longrunning rift with his mum after she walked
out on him as a kid - the pair has been spending time together in New York.
The Aussie star's dad was left to look after Jackman and his four siblings

Grace and her estranged husband, Chris, later agreed Jackman's sisters would

Vatican Slams 'Deviant' Twilight
The Roman Catholic Church has expressed concerns over the growing popularity
of the Twilight movies - Vatican officials have called the vampire franchise
a "moral vacuum with a deviant message".
The second film in the series, The Twilight Saga: New Moon, hit cinemas this
week and the movie's stars, Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner,
have been travelling the world to promote the release.
But the worldwide hype, along with masses of hysterical teenage fans, has
drawn criticism from the Vatican, with officials urging parents to be more
vigilant about the type of films their children are watching.
Monsignor Franco Perazzolo, of the Pontifical Council of Culture, says, "The
theme of vampires in Twilight combines a mixture of excesses that as ever is
aimed at young people and gives a heavy esoteric element. It is once again
that age-old trick or ideal formula of using extremes to make an impact at
the box office. This film is nothing more than a moral vacuum with a deviant
message and as such should be of concern."
Vatican officials previously criticised the Harry Potter film franchise for
its themes of magic and wizardry, as well as Dan Brown adaptations The Da Vinci
Code, and Angels and Demons for their depiction of the Catholic Church. »

Coolidge Glad To Leave The Comedy Behind To Play Cage's Stepmom
20 hours ago
American Pie star Jennifer Coolidge has her adopted New Orleans, Louisiana
to thank for her role as Nicolas Cage's stepmother in gritty new film Bad
Lieutenant - because she fears she wouldn't have landed the part if she didn't
live there.
The acclaimed comedienne accepts she's not every filmmaker's first choice
when it comes to landing dramatic roles and was thrilled when director Werner
Herzog took a risk on her - because she hopes the part will lead to other serious
parts.
She says, "My odds were just not good in getting the role... I mean,
I've been in American Pie, Legally Blonde and the Christopher Guest films,
so it's impossible for someone like me to get in on anything dramatic, ever.
I can't get in the door.
"I do think that living in New Orleans, where the film was shot, and
having a house down there somehow helped - because a lot of people auditioned
in L.A."
Coolidge admits she is getting tired of playing wacky housewives and oddball
characters in comedies: "I am grateful but bored because I do get offered
the same roles over and over again. If I go to a wardrobe fitting the costume
designer will always roll in with maybe 12 leopard dresses on the rack no matter
what role I do. I'm not just the lady in the leopard dress.
"I do hope this role helps me to do other things. It was so nice to do
something where I didn't have whoopie cushions in my shoes."
And now she's looking for a 'killer' role: "I would love to play a serial
killer; something like that would be nice. In my next film, The Exterminator,
we have a pesticide company that ends up killing boyfriends that did their
woman wrong." »

O'Neal's Rehab Hindered By Fawcett's Death
21 hours ago
Redmond O'Neal has blamed his lack of progress in his ongoing drug treatment
on the death of his mother Farrah Fawcett - because he is still reeling from
the tragedy.
Ryan O'Neal's son moved into a rehab facility in September to continue his
battle against substance abuse, after serving time behind bars in connection
to a January 2008 drug arrest and a probation violation.
He has previously insisted he is doing "very well" in his bid to
kick his addictions since Fawcett's untimely death from cancer in June.
But at a progress hearing in Los Angeles on Thursday he was criticised by
Judge Michael Tynan who told the court, "I thought this kid wanted to
do something. He isn't working as hard as he can."
The 24 year old responded by telling Judge Tynan he has been sober for nine
months, but admitted, "I have been holding back. I have been adjusting
and still dealing with the death of my mother."
A representative from Impact, the centre where he is in residential treatment,
revealed the reason behind O'Neal's lack of participation: "He did a massive
amount of drugs for years and that stunted his emotional growth, and he is
just coming out of that."
Judge Tynan ordered O'Neal back to court on 2 December, telling him: "The
report better be glowing, or there will be consequences."
The star's lawyer insisted the hearing went well, telling RadarOnline.com, "The
progress report was good. Redmond is doing well, but as Judge Tynan pointed
out, he needs to step it up," while O'Neal added, "I'm Ok. I'm going
to do better." »

Lutz & Facinelli Shoot Down Gay Rumours
19 November 2009 5:31 PM, PST
Twilight father and son Peter Facinelli and Kellan Lutz have dismissed murmurings
of a secret gay romance after photos surfaced of the two actors holding hands.
Both stars find the gossip amusing, with Lutz joking there are far more damning
shots of the pair together.
He tells Eonline.com, "It's the naked one (photo) of us in the bubble
bath that would really get us into trouble!"
Facinelli is also poking fun at the fuss - posting the picture on his Twitter.com
blog and quipping, "Co-stars caught holding hands... Guess this picture
proves everything."
And the actor, who is married to 90210 star Jennie Garth, jokes, "We're
just friends. It's weird how rumours get started. You're holding hands with
a friend and then the rumours begin."
Facinelli reveals the paparazzi snap was taken in April: "We were coming
off a plane and the paparazzi were all over us so we were just being goofy.
At one point, we even pulled out a Twilight book and started reading it. If
they wanted a circus, we were going to give them a good show."
Ironically, Lutz has been romantically linked to AnnaLynne McCord - a castmate

radio interview.
The actor told Los Angeles DJ Ryan Seacrest he and McCord had been friends

Cibrian Sues For Defamation
19 November 2009 5:31 PM, PST
Actor Eddie Cibrian has launched a $1 million (£625,000) defamation lawsuit
against U.S. magazine Life & Style over an article suggesting he's cheating
on girlfriend Leann Rimes with a woman claiming to be an ex-mistress.
Cibrian threatened the legal action earlier this month and now he's following
through, according to TMZ.com.
Aspiring actress Scheana Marie Jancan recently told the publication the American
TV star is a serial cheat who will sleep with women behind Rimes' back.
Jancan warned Rimes, who quit her own marriage to date Cibrian, that the hunk
will dump her after he has had his fun.
And, just last month, the publication ran a story suggesting Jancan and Cibrian
were dating again - behind Rimes' back.
A statement from the star's representative says, "Unfortunately Life & Style
Magazine has chosen to go out with a story filled with inaccuracies and deceitful
lies, presumably to titillate sales, but clearly resulting in harm to Eddie
Cibrian and others."
In the suit, lawyers claim the articles published by the magazine "falsely
portray Eddie as being unfaithful to Ms. Rimes, as currently being in a romantic
with Ms. Jancan, and as having abandoned his children."
Cibrian split from his wife Brandi Glanville earlier this year when he started
dating country star Rimes. »

19 November 2009 5:31 PM, PST
Oprah Winfrey will end her hit talk show in 2011, according to a leaked announcement.
Oprah will make the big news official during her show on Friday.
A statement from Tim Bennett, the president of Winfrey's production company
Harpo, reads, "Oprah will announce live on The Oprah Winfrey Show that
she has decided to end what is arguably one of the most popular, influential
and enduring programs in television history.
"The sun will set on the Oprah show as its 25th season draws to a close
on September 9, 2011."
Bennett's letter to TV network affiliates was leaked to U.S. news show Access
Hollywood.
The TV executive also writes, "Before she speaks to her loyal viewers,
we wanted to share her decision first with you - our valued partners for more
than two decades... Share this news this evening with your colleagues and viewers.
"Oprah’s personal comments about this on tomorrow’s live show will mark
a historic television moment that we will all be talking about for years to
come."
At the Toronto Film Festival in Canada in September, where Winfrey presented
new film Precious, the talk show queen revealed a big announcement was coming
about her show.
She said, "I haven’t made a decision yet and I have until the end of
the year." »

Parker Surrogate: 'Files And Photos Were Stolen While I Was In Hiding'
19 November 2009 5:31 PM, PST
Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick's surrogate has testified in court
that tax files and ultrasound photos were taken from her home in Ohio while
she was in hiding immediately prior to giving birth to the couple's twins.
Ohio police officers Barry Carpenter and Chad Dojack are charged with illegally
entering Michelle Ross' home in Martins Ferry, taking the items and then trying
to sell them to a paparazzo who was attempting to break the news about the
identity of the mystery mum.
Carpenter maintains he entered Ross' vacant home after spotting the door to
her basement wide open. He told investigators he took nothing and simply secured
the home after making sure there had been no break-in.
But Ross, who was moved to top secret West Virginia addresses in the weeks
leading up to labour, insists files and photos were missing when she returned
home after handing over the twins - and a cast of her stomach had been misplaced.
Appearing in court in Belmont County on Thursday, Ross recalled a paparazzo
tracking her down to inform her that the two police officers and others were
trying to sell her stolen personal items.
The surrogate also told the court that she made an agreement not to disclose
the parents of the twins she was carrying, but she did write about the experience
online while she was in hiding. She never named names.
After the paparazzo tracked her down, she was moved from address to address
to protect her identity, while her own son was sent to live with relatives.
Ross gave birth to the babies in May. »
