Shannen DohertyDoherty A No Show For Post-show Chat
6 hours ago

Sore loser Shannen Doherty declined an offer to appear on late-night U.S. TV on Tuesday after becoming the first celebrity to be voted off Dancing With The Stars.

As is tradition on the show, the rejected stars and their dance partners hot foot it over to Jimmy Kimmel Live! once the contest ends for them - but the former Beverly Hills, 90210 star was too upset to make an appearance.

In making the announcement on his show, comedian Kimmel said, "Never in the history of our show has a dancer declined our invitation to participate. Macy Gray was so upset she couldn't come out of the bathroom, but at least she showed up and went to our bathroom.

"Shannen Doherty elected tonight not to come. Can you imagine that? Now I'm glad I kicked her off."

Gerard ButlerButler Opens Up His New York Castle For Architectural Digest
6 hours ago

Movie hunk Gerard Butler has opened the doors to his New York loft home after redesigning the space with film artist Elvis Restaino and architect Alexander Gorlin.

The 300 star's dream pad in Chelsea is featured in the new issue of Architectural Digest magazine.

Its castle-like decor features antique furniture, raw beams, chandeliers and a ceiling fresco, and Butler admits it's the perfect home for him - even though it wasn't cheap.

He says, "I wanted something elegant and gorgeous and at the same time rather masculine and raw.

"I knew it was going to take a lot of work to turn the loft into a place where I actually wanted to live, but I didn't realise it would be four years before I spent the night."

The two-storey loft is housed in a converted manufacturing warehouse, which boasts views of the Empire State Building.

Butler also boasts an apartment in London and a home in the Hollywood Hills. »

Lost Star Recovering From Hand Slice

Lost star Daniel Dae Kim has been suffering for his art on the final season of the desert island drama - he had to have his hand glued together after cutting it open on a screw.

The actor was shooting an underwater scene when he had to take a trip to the emergency room after slicing open his hand.

He tells Entertainment Weekly magazine doctors were advised not to stitch up the wound for fear of infection - and so they decided to glue over the deep cut.

Kim tells the publication, "I actually ripped open my hand on a stray drywall screw that was underwater. I had to run to the hospital to get my hand glued up. They were going to stitch it up, but they decided against it because they thought I might have to go back in the water again and they were worrying about infection. So they ended up gluing it, so it was a more watertight seal.

"People are asking me if I'm going to take any souvenir from the show, but I don't need a piece of the show; it's taken a piece of me! I will have this scar as a souvenir." »

Lopez Invites Lohan On His Show After Twitter Feud
6 hours ago

Comedian George Lopez wants to turn his war of words with Lindsay Lohan into TV ratings for his late-night chat show - he's invited the actress to be his guest.

Lopez upset the Mean Girls star by poking fun at her during his Monday night show, prompting Lohan to lash out at him in a post.

The actress was hurt by the comic's remarks about photos taken of her which clearly showed white powder billowing out of her heeled shoes as she walked.

Lopez made a cocaine reference in his joke about the troubled star, and she responded by 'tweeting', "Thanks for the childish comment regarding baby powder in my shoes to loosen up the leather don't you have kids? (sic)"

But, rather than apologise for his comments, Lopez has taken the opportunity to invite Lohan on his show.

He has posted, "Let's take this off Twitter.. Come on the show.. I've met you before and I have nothing against you."

At the beginning of Tuesday night's Lopez Tonight! show, Lopez confirmed the actress is "a great sport" after agreeing to be on his show next week (beg05Apr10). »

Tattoo Artist: 'I Was Part Of Jesse James Foursome'

Disgraced reality TV star Jesse James has been hit by another scandal regarding his infidelity during his marriage to Sandra Bullock - a tattoo artist has revealed he was part of a sex foursome with the mechanic.

Eric McDougall has told U.S. publication Life & Style he and his receptionist had sex with James and his mistress Michelle 'Bombshell' McGee at a tattoo festival last summer, while Bullock was promoting her film The Proposal.

The receptionist, Skittles Valentine, becomes the fifth woman linked sexually to James since news of his alleged cheating broke after telling the publication she had unprotected intercourse with the TV star.

San Diego, California-based McDougall claims the orgy took place after the Ink-n-Iron tattoo festival in June.

He says, "Michelle came into my shop and was like, 'I’d like to introduce you to my boyfriend.' I recognised Jesse right away."

The tattoo artist "filled in" an octopus design on James' skin and then the TV star and his mistress started making moves on Valentine.

He adds, "Jesse and Michelle both wanted Skittles."

The receptionist continues, "Eric and I were having sex and Jesse and I had sex. I had an awesome time. I think Jesse is so cute."

But the night ended badly when McGee reportedly turned on Valentine.

The publication reports the two started fighting over time with James.

Both James and McGee failed to respond to the magazine's requests for a comment.

Bullock walked out on James in early March after McGee went public with her affair. »

Turner To Make Directorial Debut

Hollywood screenwriter Sheldon Turner is set to make his directorial debut in a forthcoming thriller, following the whirlwind success of his Oscar-nominated film Up In The Air.

Turner, who shared top screenwriting awards for co-writing the George Clooney film with director Jason Reitman, will helm new movie By Virtue Fall, about a man who is imprisoned after being framed by his mentor.

He will co-produce the film with Jennifer Klein and Nicolas Chartier, who hit the headlines earlier this year when he was banned from the Academy Awards. Chartier was caught campaigning for votes when he emailed voters to support his movie The Hurt Locker - a practice forbidden by Oscar bosses.

Turner has long harboured a desire to direct but admits he only felt compelled to take control of the camera after completing the screenplay for By Virtue Fall.

He tells Daily Variety, "This script was the first I've written that made me feel like I had no choice but to embark on my directing career."

Production is scheduled to start in September. »

Morgan Forgot Wilson's Name During Funeral Film
8 hours ago

Luke Wilson and Tracy Morgan got off to an awkward start on new movie Death At A Funeral after signing on to play best pals - because the 30 Rock funnyman struggled to remember his co-star's name.

The film, a remake of a 2007 British movie of the same name, revolves around a dysfunctional family which comes together for the patriarch's funeral, only to be rocked by gay revelations from the deceased's alleged former lover.

The pair pretended to be best friends for the film, which began shooting last spring, but Wilson admits he's still baffled that Morgan failed to recognise him when he stepped off the set - and continued to call him by the wrong name.

Wilson explains, "We were together all day long... We'd been working together for two weeks at one point and it was the end of the day on Friday and I said, 'Tracy, I'll see you later. Have a good weekend.'

"He looked over and I was in street clothes. I could tell he didn't recognise me - after two weeks. And I said, 'It's Luke.' He said, 'Have a good weekend, Lou.' He called me 'Lou.'" »

He's going to be one miserable c**t, I just know it - 'So you want to play at being a commando, you poncey actor?' Welch: 'Modelling Agents Hated My Body'

Legendary beauty Raquel Welch struggled to land jobs as a model when she first arrived in Hollywood - because agents "hated" her celebrated curves.

The 69-year-old first showed off her impressive body in One Million Years B.C. and soon became a pin-up for the 1960s.

But the sultry star admits industry bosses weren't immediately taken with her figure - and regularly turned her down for jobs.

Welch tells U.S. talk show host Oprah Winfrey, "When I tried to do some modelling after I first came to L.A. - just to get a job - they hated my body. Everything was wrong.

"I had no idea that was the path I was going to be going in when I started my career, because I wanted to be an actress."

And the star insists it takes hours of hard work to maintain her glamorous look: "I'll have my mornings when I really like myself, but 90 per cent of the time it's 'Oh my God'. One of the reasons I look so good is that it takes me about three hours to get ready." »

McGregor Re-opens Connery Feud

Ewan McGregor has reignited his feud with Sir Sean Connery, insisting the former Bond star is wrong to call for Scotland to be given independence from the rest of Britain.

In 2008, McGregor took aim at the veteran actor for supporting a proposed split between Scotland and the U.K., pointing out that Connery has actually lived in the Bahamas for the last three decades.

McGregor later apologised for his remarks, insisting he too shouldn't "dare" to hand out advice to his former countrymen as he also no longer resides in Scotland.

But the Moulin Rouge! star has risked controversy again by revisiting his comments, and branding his fellow Scots "anti-English."

He tells Britain's Live magazine, "I once got involved in (the independence debate) by accident by being flippant at a press conference in Cannes, which was just a stupid thing, and I won't drum it up again. But overnight I found myself on the front of the newspapers as the anti-independent Scotland guy, and I'm neither.

"I've not lived in Scotland since I was 17 years old and I wouldn't dare to say to people in Scotland how they should feel about it, and neither should Connery, in my view. He's lived abroad far longer than I have.

"I like the idea of Great Britain. Scottish-English relations aren't good north of the border. There's a kind of anti-Englishness - or there was when I left - that I didn't like, and I can't imagine that independence would make that any better. There, I've got involved in it by saying I'm not involved in it." »

Milk Incident Finished McKenzie's Waiter Career
15 hours ago

Actor Ben McKenzie cringes at the memory of his time as a restaurant waiter - because he was constantly spilling drinks over diners.

The star shot to fame as rebel Ryan Atwood in teen series The O.C. alongside Mischa Barton and Rachel Bilson.

But before the series introduced him to a Hollywood lifestyle, McKenzie was forced to be a busboy at a busy Los Angeles restaurant - and admits he was hopeless at waiting tables.

He tells, "It was one restaurant and it doesn't exist anymore... Terrible. I was absolutely awful. Really bad. Very poor multi-tasker. I can do one thing if I'm concentrating on it, but that's about it. One table would get great service and everyone else was sort of screwed. A lot of spilling - I was awful!

"Everybody was very sweet, I have to say. I remember spilling various things on people, luckily never red wine. I think I spilled a glass of milk, which was unusual that we were even serving milk to someone. It was not my proudest moment. They say some actors are born to be waiters; I definitely couldn't do what they do." »

Australia's Rudd Hits Back At Williams' Jibe
15 hours ago

Australian Prime Minister Kevin Rudd has hit back at Robin Williams after the funnyman mocked the country's citizens, dubbing them "English rednecks".

The Mrs. Doubtfire star, who performed stand-up Down Under last month, made the comment during an appearance on the U.S. programme Late Show with David Letterman.

He joked, "The Australians are basically English rednecks. 'You down there, how are ya? Good to see you. Hello!'"

But the politician took exception to the derogatory term, which is used in both the U.S. and Australia to describe an ignorant person - and defended his countrymen on Wednesday.

Speaking on Triple M radio in Melbourne, he said, "First of all, I think Robin Williams should go and spend a bit of time in Alabama before he frames comments about anyone being particularly redneck. That's my first response." »

And Carell, who stars in new comedy Date Night with Tina Fey, is still stunned he is leading movies.

He tells the Associated Press, "It doesn't sound sincere but it is: I'm always surprised that I'm working, that I have a job doing what we're doing. Tina felt the same way the first few days of shooting. So, no, I tend not to plan ahead.

Spielberg Rep Shoots Down 'Paranoia' Claims
15 hours ago

A representative for Steven Spielberg has dismissed allegations the legendary director is so terrified of his movie ideas leaking to rivals, he imposes a series of bizarre security measures on his staff.

According to a new book about Spielberg's DreamWorks company by former Variety reporter Nicole Laporte, the Jaws moviemaker has enforced fort-like conditions to ensure no film ideas leak out from his Los Angeles office.

The tome also alleges Spielberg insists on being prepared for a natural disaster, and even hands out survival kits to his staff.

In the book, The Men Who Would Be King, Laporte writes, "His passion for secrecy sometimes suggests a burgeoning near-paranoia. In Spielberg's office, hanging above his desk, a plexiglass half-moon keeps sound from reverberating so that his phone conversations remain ultra-confidential. When an assistant once asked what the funny thing over Spielberg's desk was, a security guard referred to it as a dome of silence.

"When... Spielberg's longtime editor views footage in the screening room, a black cloth is draped over the projection booth window to hide the screen. Every document that leaves the office - a script, development report, even a memo - is coded, so that should it somehow get into the wrong hands... the person responsible for the breach can be identified.

"When Spielberg isn't at (his office), live-cam images are streamed to his home. There are also measures to protect against earthquakes or attacks, as Spielberg believes in being prepared... At one point, employees were given survival kits including gas masks and other amenities."

But the filmmaker's spokesperson has shot down the author's claims - insisting the book "doesn't deserve a comment".

The rep says, "This description is so far from the real world of Steven that it doesn't deserve a comment. If the rest of the book is like this excerpt, readers can expect very little of what they read to be true." »

Hopkins' 'Pessimist' Attitude Bringing Down Thor
15 hours ago

Sir Anthony Hopkins is allegedly causing friction on the set of his new fantasy film Thor by constantly criticising his co-star Chris Hemsworth's acting abilities, according to a U.S. report.

The Oscar-winning star plays Odin, King of the Norse Gods, in the upcoming blockbuster while Aussie actor Hemsworth takes on the title role of Thor.

But the atmosphere on-set has become fraught due to Hopkins' opinion of his co-star's performance, as well as the amount of studio filming needed for the special-effects packed movie, according to the New York Daily News.

An insider tells the publication, "Anthony has not tried to hide his disapproval of Chris' acting skills. Chris is definitely the least-experienced actor on set, but he's trying. He respects Anthony a great deal, and it looks like he's trying to grin and bear all of his criticism.

"Anthony keeps complaining that they're shooting too many scenes inside the L.A. studio and not enough on location. He isn't used to this kind of work, and his pessimism is really starting to wear everyone down." »

Vaughn Dismisses Kick-ass Criticism

British moviemaker Matthew Vaughn has brushed off criticism of his controversial new moive Kick-ass - because he's convinced the complaints are all down to media hype.

The director has come under fire from critics in the U.K. who claim the film is too violent for the big screen, and that 13-year-old actress Chloe Moretz should not have been cast as assassin Hit Girl, a character who uses bad language throughout the movie.

But Vaughn is adamant the controversy has been blown out of proportion - because he hasn't received one complaint from anybody who has seen the film.

He tells Britain's The One Show, "I actually don't think there will be (complains from parents). When people see the film they'll be surprised. I haven't had one complaint from someone who's seen the movie yet.

"We put comedy in (the movie) to show (the violence) isn't real. It's based on one of the most successful comic books ever written so if I didn't put the controversy in the fans would have killed me." »

Rhys Ifans was stunned to learn his Nanny McPhee And The Big Bang co-star Maggie Gyllenhaal was American - because she had such a convincing English accent.

Munn Landed Two Roles In Iron Man Sequel

Olivia Munn made a big impact on Iron Man director Jon Favreau in the action film's sequel - he found a new role for the actress when the part she first signed up for was edited out.

The sexy brunette completed work on the upcoming blockbuster last year but recently had to return to the set to shoot scenes as a completely different character.

But Munn didn't mind the extra work - because she was relieved to have a second chance to impress the filmmaker.

She tells Complex magazine, "As they started to edit, they realised it (the film) was becoming darker than what they'd expected and what my (original) scenes had allowed for. My parts were lighthearted and comedic.

"Jon Favreau called me and was like, 'I've got good news and bad news: This is what's happening in editing but we all really like you (and still want to include you).'

"Jon had to add another character from the Marvel universe to keep me included.

"Everyone knows who the stars are in this movie. I'm not one of them and I understand the editing process. Some things don't work out."

But Favreau can count his blessings he kept Munn onboard - otherwise he would have faced the wrath of her angry mum: "She would have gone absolutely ballistic... She would've been physically looking for Jon." »

Lohan's Parents At War Again Over Press Conference
19 hours ago

The war of words between Lindsay Lohan's estranged parents has exploded again after her father staged a press conference on Tuesday asking for help to get his famous daughter into rehab.

Michael Lohan has gone public with his latest concerns for his wildchild daughter, revealing he's terrified the actress will die without professional help.

During his hastily-arranged press conference, Lohan, who has publicly spoken about his daughter's alleged prescription drug addiction in the past, admitted he's seriously worried for the actress' health - and he's appealing for her to seek professional help before it's too late.

He explained, "Lindsay's not Ok. I think we've seen that, we all know that. It's really hard for me to do this. A lot of my family members know what's going on.

"I've tried every way possible to reach out to my daughter - talking, text, we've met. And, in difficult times, she reaches out to me. It happened last week when she fell into the cactus. She said, 'I need security.' I'm her father and I love her.

"I think we all see and know what's happening with Lindsay. I get calls from her closest friends and it's worse than you can imagine. My daughter needs to let me help her. I don't want her to be a statistic. My heart goes out to people who have lost their children."

But his comments have infuriated his ex-wife, Lindsay's mother Dina, who insists there's nothing wrong with the Mean Girls star.

Dina tells, "I have a criminal protective order against him 'til 2011. He's one year behind in child support and he's using this as a diversion.

"Lindsay is in good hands. Everything is fine. He's trashing a child he doesn't even see." »

Garner 'Stalker' Sent To Psychiatric Unit
19 hours ago

A man accused of stalking Jennifer Garner and her family has been found not guilty by reason of insanity.

Steven Burky pleaded no contest to two counts of felony stalking at Los Angeles County District Court on Tuesday, after continually harassing the Alias star since 2002.

Garner was awarded a permanent restraining order against Burky in 2008, which stated he should stay at least 100 yards (300 feet/91 metres) away from the actress and her family. The order was set to last until 2011.

But Burky was spotted outside the Los Angeles nursery the actress' four-year-old daughter Violet attends in December, and arrested.

The 37-year-old's aunt claimed that his obsession was the result of a psychological condition - and court officials agreed.

A judge found Burky not guilty of the offences by reason of insanity during a hearing on Tuesday, and ruled that he should be sent to a state mental hospital.

The judge also ordered Burky to stay away from Garner, her husband Ben Affleck and their family for 10 years if he is released, reports the Associated Press. »

James Checks Into Arizona Facility

Jesse James has checked himself into a treatment facility in a bid to "save his marriage" amid allegations he cheated on wife Sandra Bullock with a string of mistresses.

The Hollywood couple's union was rocked earlier this month after tattoo model Michelle McGee went public with claims she romanced the married reality star for 11 months, including a period when Bullock was shooting The Blind Side on location.

A string of other women have since come forward with allegations of affairs with James.

The TV mechanic has not admitted to cheating on his wife, but broke his silence on 18 March to apologise to Bullock for the "pain and embarrassment" caused.

The actress, who walked out on James after the scandal broke, is reportedly preparing to file for divorce - but he's now seeking professional treatment in a last-ditch effort to save their relationship.

His representative tells, "Jesse checked himself into a treatment facility to deal with personal issues. He realised that this time was crucial to help himself, help his family and help save his marriage." claims that James has checked into the Sierra Tucson facility in Tucson, Arizona which specialises in drug, alcohol and sex addiction.

The news comes just hours after James was shamed by the online leak of a photo in which he poses as Nazi leader Adolf Hitler.

In the shot, taken before he wed Bullock, tattooed James dons a military cap, stares menacingly into the camera and raises one arm in the air to give the Nazi salute, while mocking Hitler's infamous moustache with the fingers of the other hand.

And the release of the damning photo could not have come at a worst time for James - at the beginning of the Jewish Passover.

Millions of Jews were victims of Hitler's Holocaust during World War Two in the 1940s. »

Bilson: 'Pregnancy Rumours Are Hilarious'
30 March 2010 6:31 PM, PDT

Actress Rachel Bilson was amused when a recent doctors visit prompted pregnancy rumours - because she was there for problem sinus issues.

The former The O.C. star had to dismiss reports she was with child last month after she was photographed heading into a medic's office wearing an oversized raincoat.

And Bilson admits she and fiance Hayden Christensen found the whole story "hilarious".

She tells Cleo magazine, “It was like, 'Really? Where does this come from?' I went to the doctors because I have sinus problems. I walk out and it was raining, so I had a big raincoat on - so (the tabloids) thought I was pregnant.

"I had Q-tips stuck up my nose because I’m having sinus issues. If you want to think I’m pregnant, then fine!" »

Kidman and her husband Keith Urban were spotted checking out the palatial Windemere estate during a recent trip to Sydney, the city's Daily Telegraph reports.

One local agent tells the publication an offer has been made on the property. »

Harrelson: 'I'm Not A Sex Addict'
30 March 2010 6:31 PM, PDT

Actor Woody Harrelson has exploded the myth he's a sex addict - insisting a remark he once made was blown out of proportion.

The movie star was once asked about rumours he was hooked on sex and he responded by stating, "I can't think of anything better to be addicted to."

But he admits the joke went too far and now he's keen to go public with the absolute truth.

In a new Hustler interview with the publication's boss Larry Flynt, Harrelson says, "It came out that I described myself as a sex addict. That's not true. I can go through long droughts."

But the actor admits he has wasted a lot of time chasing women.

He adds, "I do sometimes think I probably could have become a scholar in multiple languages and learned various martial arts and acupuncture. I could have written books, given all the time I spent (chasing women)." »

Michael Lohan: 'Lindsay's Problems Stemmed From My Divorce'
30 March 2010 6:31 PM, PDT

Michael Lohan is convinced the breakdown of his marriage pushed daughter Lindsay into her alleged prescription drug habit - because she never needed medication before he and his ex-wife Dina split.

The actress made her name in kids' movies, including Disney's remake of The Parent Trap, and became a household name for her turn in 2004's Mean Girls.

But, as her parents' marriage faltered and then ended in divorce in 2007, Lohan turned to partying to help her through the difficult time, according to her father Michael.

He's sure that his daughter was prescribed medication as a coping mechanism - but he's convinced she never needed it in the first place.

At a press conference he staged on Tuesday, Michael explained, "When Lindsay started acting until the pinnacle of her career she never needed a prescription drug. During our divorce she partied a bit and then she was prescribed meds (medication).

"Lindsay doesn't need it, but she's become addicted to it. When you combine that with non-legal drugs and alcohol it can become toxic and cost you your life."

And Michael is determined to do what it takes to help Lindsay - even if it means the actress ends up hating him.

He adds, "I've heard things lately I never wanted to hear in my life and I'm not gonna let it happen anymore. I don't care what she thinks of me now, what consequences I have to pay. She may hate me now but she'll love me later when she has her life back. That's all I care about." »

Third Woman In Jesse James Scandal Speaks Out
30 March 2010 6:31 PM, PDT

The woman who has been dubbed Jesse James' 'Mistress Number Three' has spoken out about their alleged tryst, insisting she called off the relationship when it started to become inappropriate.

Photographer and vintage clothing store owner Brigitte Daguerre has refused big money deals to talk to the tabloids about her reported romance with the reality TV star but now she has opened up to America's People magazine - because she doesn't want to be considered a marriage wrecker.

James' wife Sandra Bullock is apparently on the verge of filing for divorce from the TV mechanic after walking out on him following the first in a line of infidelity allegations.

And Daguerre insists she would never have messed around with James if she was sure he was married.

She tells People, "I wish it never happened, to be honest... All this attention is what I really don't like.

"I made a mistake in thinking that there was a possibility with Jesse, when there wasn't. But I didn't do anything that bad, because, as soon as I felt that something wasn't right, I stayed home. That is why I get mad when people call me a home wrecker: I had no idea of what the full story was with him.

"I get really upset when I read the headline 'mistress.' I was not his mistress. Jesse was never my boyfriend. There was no love. It was mostly friendship, or at least that is how it started.

"This is just a series of unfortunate events. I don't have any grudge against Jesse. I have never been angry or p**sed off or anything. I don't know how I ended up here. I don't regret his friendship... We weren't in a quote unquote relationship. I wasn’t in love with him."

And Daguerre insists James never mentioned his wife when they were together: "I only went down to his shop a few times and it didn’t take me long to realise that something didn’t feel right to me and that it was time to stop hanging out with this guy." »
