Blanchett Condemns U.K. Tax Relief Cap Proposal
Cate Blanchett has criticised the U.K. government's plan to cap tax relief on charitable donations, fearing the move will threaten philanthropic arts funding.

She tells BBC Radio 4, "It's interesting what's happening in London at the moment, with the potential curbing of philanthropic giving. I think it's really important when it's increasingly hard to be seen to be justified giving money to the arts that a culture of philanthropy is really encouraged.

Bruno Seeks Help Over Fears Of Bipolar Relapse
Boxing icon Frank Bruno has sought professional help after he "started showing" signs his bipolar disorder has returned, according to his agent.
Britain's Sun on Sunday reports the legendary fighter's friends became concerned about his wellbeing and called in mental health experts.
A source told the publication, "He was acting really strange. He had become convinced that anyone he talked to was trying to take his money. It's really sad because everyone loves Frank and we are all hoping he gets better soon."
Police and medics were reportedly called to Bruno's home in Bedfordshire, England on Wednesday but the star was not at the property and the following day, he left willingly and is now receiving care in an undisclosed health unit.
Bruno's agent Dave Davies says, "Frank hasn't been sectioned. He started showing tendencies of bipolar. From what I understand he went of his own accord into a clinic.
"He needs a couple of weeks' good rest. He is absolutely shattered. With his condition, Frank needs to take more care of himself.
"When he comes out of his house every morning he is on show. He doesn't criticise that or moan because it is the public that have put him where he is. But as an outsider watching Frank non-stop I feel he needs a good rest.
"Sometimes we all need a few days off to recharge our batteries. That's what Frank is doing."
In 2003, Bruno was sectioned under the Mental Health Act 1983 and underwent psychological and psychiatric tests, and was later diagnosed as bipolar. »
