He tells Vogue magazine, "Look, I'm never going to be a little fellow - in fact, I'm still huge. I'd like to lose a little more weight, but there's no need to worry I'll go too far. It wouldn't suit me to have a 28-inch waist, because I'd still have a giant lollipop head."

His stinging comments appear to have caught the attention of Virgin Active bosses - a member of the company's public relations team has reached out to the actor to offer her sincere apologies for his treatment.
Crowe took to Twitter again late on Wednesday, to follow up, writing, "Nice email from pr lady @virginactiveuk. Think I'll just go where the regular folks hang Gold's Gym in Camberly, friendly spot".
One of Crowe's fans even identified himself as an employee at the Bracknell club and invited the star to work out with him over the next few days - but the actor respectfully declined.

Kony 2012 Filmmaker Was Psychotic During Naked Meltdown
Jason Russell, the man behind the high-profile Kony 2012 campaign, was suffering from a psychotic episode when he was arrested over a bizarre naked rant in a street last week (ends16Mar12).
Russell was seized by cops in San Diego, California last Thursday for public drunkenness and masturbation following reports he was seen committing an obscene act and vandalising cars.
He was placed on a psychiatric hold so medics could assess his mental state, and now a spokesman for the family has revealed Russell was diagnosed with a brief reactive psychosis - a temporary psychotic episode triggered by stress.
He is likely to remain in hospital for several weeks.
The statement, obtained by TMZ.com, reads, "We would, again, like to make it clear that Jason's incident was in no way the result of drugs or alcohol in his body. The preliminary diagnosis he received is called brief reactive psychosis, an acute state brought on by extreme exhaustion, stress and dehydration...
"Though new to us, the doctors say this is a common experience given the great mental, emotional and physical shock his body has gone through in these last two weeks. Even for us, it's hard to understand the sudden transition from relative anonymity to worldwide attention - both raves and ridicules, in a matter of days...
"He is, and will remain, under hospital care for a number of weeks; and after that, the recovery process could take months before he is fully able to step back into his role with Invisible Children. During that time, we will focus not on a speedy recovery, but a thorough one."
Russell's film about Joseph Kony became an online hit when it was released earlier this month to bolster Invisible Children's upcoming 20 April publicity drive to snare the warlord, but became mired in controversy amid allegations of financial mismanagement at the charity and reports Kony has not been active in Uganda for years. »

He passed away at the Langone Medical Center in New York City some time between the hours of Sunday night and Monday morning.
Grosbard directed a slew of Hollywood icons throughout his career, among them Meryl Streep and Robert De Niro in 1984 favourite Falling in Love, and Whoopi Goldberg and Michelle Pfeiffer in his final movie Deep End of the Ocean.
The filmmaker, born Israel Grosbard, grew up in Belgium but then fled from the Nazis with his family to Havana, Cuba where he worked as a diamond cutter.
Upon moving to America, he earned his Bachelor's and Master's degree in English from the University of Chicago in Illinois and then studied at Yale Drama School before enrolling in the Army in the 1950s.
Ultimately pursuing his love of the theatre, Grosbard earned his first credit in 1962 after directing veteran Robert Duvall in off-Broadway play The Days and Nights of Beebee Fenstermaker and two years later he went on to oversee Dustin Hoffman in a revival of A View from the Bridge.
Later setting his sights on the film industry, Grosbard directed Martin Sheen in The Subject Was Roses, Duvall and De Niro in True Confessions and he twice reteamed with Hoffman for Straight Time and Who Is Harry Kellerman and Why Is He Saying Those Terrible Things About Me?
Duvall tells the New York Times, "Ulu was the kind of guy who wanted to see what you brought - and then we'd talk. He was very serious; he had keen perceptions about things. He was a pretty intellectual guy... There was a balance there between us. We hit it off right from the start. I wanted to work more with him. Whatever he brought to me, I did." »

The beloved TV actor is at the centre of a storm in the U.K. after he reportedly made the comment during an interview for Piers Morgan's Life Stories, which has not yet been broadcast.
It's alleged Waterman told the chat show host, "She certainly wasn't a beaten wife, she was hit and that's different... It's not difficult for a woman to make a man hit her... The problem with strong, intelligent women is that they can argue well. And if there is a time where you can't get a word in... and I... I lashed out... It happened and I'm very, very ashamed of it."
Now Sting's wife Styler, who is an active campaigner against domestic violence, has spoken out to condemn Waterman's comments, insisting it's never acceptable for a man to strike a woman.
She tells U.K. morning show Daybreak, "We can't condone violence to women in any shape or form. I haven't heard from Dennis Waterman myself, I believe that the show in which he said those things hasn't been aired, but hitting a woman is absolutely not on in any shape or form, in my book." »

Jones' Lifesaver Plea
Movie hardman Vinnie Jones is calling for British schools to teach kids a lifesaving resuscitation technique following English Premier League soccer star Fabrice Muamba's cardiac arrest during a game.
The Snatch actor and former soccer player was horrified at the scenes of Muamba receiving CPR on the pitch following his collapse on live TV on Saturday.
Earlier this year, Jones starred in a campaign for the British Heart Foundation, which aims to teach the public about a "kiss-free" alternative to mouth-to-mouth resuscitation - and now he's urging education officials to introduce the subject to the national curriculum.
In a column for The Sun, Jones writes, "What happened to Fabrice Muamba at the weekend was terrible to see. It wasn't just footballers, former players, people involved in the game or fans who were affected. What happened made everyone sit up and take notice... It's a daunting thought for anyone to think they might be faced with a similar situation... CPR should be taught in schools as part of the curriculum."

Hanks Calls 'Blacked Up' Video 'Hideously Offensive'
Tom Hanks has spoken out to condemn the actions of a man who was caught on camera standing next to the actor at a fundraising event wearing black face make-up, calling the incident "hideously offensive".
A video from 2004 has surfaced showing Hanks and Eagles rocker Glenn Frey taking part in a charity auction for St. Matthew's Parish School in Pacific Palisades, California.
In the footage, the stars are shown standing next to a man who has painted his face black, and the video has infuriated officials at a conservative group called the Congress of Racial Equality (Core).
Core officials have even urged U.S. President Barack Obama to stop Hanks from narrating his documentary The Road We've Traveled, which focuses on the politician's first term in office.
Core spokesman Niger Innis says, "I call upon President Obama, who has Tom Hanks doing narration to his campaign video, to cease, to remove Mr. Hanks' voice-over from his video, and end any association or affiliation with Mr. Hanks."
The Hollywood actor has now addressed the controversy and spoken out against the actions of the man in the video.
He says in a statement, "In 2004, I was blindsided when one of the parents got up on the stage in a costume that was hideously offensive then and is hideously offensive now. What is usually a night of food and drink for a good cause was, regrettably, marred by an appalling few moments." »

Gere's Rep Denies Pretty Woman Put Down
Richard Gere's publicist has lashed out at "false" reports suggesting the actor dismissed his most famous film Pretty Woman as "a silly romantic comedy".
The 1990 box office smash is one of the most successful rom-coms of all time, pulling in over $460 million (£287 million) at the box office, and Gere left fans stunned recently when he allegedly poured scorn on the movie, in which he played a successful businessman opposite Julia Roberts' hooker character, in a recent Australian interview.

He says, "(It's) all a bunch of Bs (bulls**t). He didn’t do an interview with that Australian publication."

De Niro Apologises For 'Inappropriate' Fundraiser Joke

The Hollywood actor, his wife Grace Hightower and America's First Lady, Michelle Obama, hosted a dinner to raise donations for President Obama's re-election campaign at New York's Greenwich Hotel.
De Niro took to the stage in front of guests including movie mogul Harvey Weinstein and hip-hop supercouple Beyonce and Jay-z, but his speech fell flat when he made a joke he made about the wives of Republican presidential candidates Newt Gingrich, Rick Santorum and Mitt Romney.
Before introducing the First Lady to the stage, he said, "Callista Gingrich. Karen Santorum. Ann Romney. Now do you really think our country is ready for a white first lady?"
Michelle Obama's aides weren't happy with the quip, telling CNN, "We believe the joke was inappropriate," and De Niro has now apologised for his comment in a statement.

But Biel confesses she went through a wild stage in her teens and her bad behaviour often sent show bosses into fits of rage.
She tells W magazine, "I cut my hair supershort and dyed it blonde. I had to apologise to (producer) Aaron Spelling for doing that. He wasn't happy.
"When I turned 17 or 18, a really obnoxious friend sent a stripper to the set. I had to apologise for that too. The show was all about family values, and they took that position seriously. I was always apologising."
Biel was written out of the programme during the show's fifth season due to her alleged discontent with character Mary's clean-cut image and growing tensions with producers after she posed semi-nude for Gear magazine at the age of 17. »

Arquette, who conquered his alcohol issues in rehab last year, jetted off to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico for a sunshine break last week (ends16Mar12) and posted a few photos and updates for fans on his Twitter.com blog, prompting speculation that the actor was taking advantage of his new single status.
The false rumours have compelled Arquette to set the record straight.
In a tweet to fans on Tuesday, he writes, "Just to clarify - I took a lot of pictures in Cabo but was a complete gentleman. I danced and had a sober good time. No girls for me - 2 (sic) soon".
When asked by one follower if he felt the need to speak out because of a "guilty conscience", he replied, "no but haters report lies and i speak honestly. nothing to be guilty (about)".
Arquette split from his wife Courteney Cox in 2010 but the two remain friends. »
